PS
I also added a crude GB to my RCll and my Coin Select. I adjusted to where it just stops chattering over clean ground. I find I get better depth this way.

I have a 120 that was given to me because it was in pretty rough shape. I made it a bit more ergonomic and put the controls more accessible. I never used it beyond my test garden here in Canada. With the right offer I'd sell it if someone is interested? Email me at singularmirage@gmail.c

I have fixed two Wilson coils already and one with a whole new 8" shell. Can get original 7.25" inch shells now from same guy. Glad to help anyone else out on this.

There is a fantastic way to end all of this nonsense...start supporting your local dealers and retail stores and you will see how fast places like Feebay, Fraudbay, F-U-bay , etc. will start looking after all it's users.
Also, stop buying it's stupid stock!! That will cause them the most grief out of anything I'm sure. The greedy ones at the top don't want their coveted ne

I would not be pissed at ebay if they dropped the sellers fees after they refunded the guy's money! I would actually re-list the item. But now I'm not paying their fee and I will find another way to sell it. They freeze my sellers account, but who cares...I ain't flogging that dead horse no more anywho!

Here's a good one for all you ebay haters to mull over.
So I sell my Fisher Gold Bug on ebay at the beginning of the month. I get more for it than I thought I would...$275. This is the original GB with no disc on it and super sensitive with a very fine tune ground balance. You need to know your stuff to run this machine at peek performance.
I ship it to this idiot who buys it and wit

To me it sounds like electrical interference. Most transmissions have harmonics in the signals and sometimes they match a frequency that messes up the detector. I've had that happen one day and then a return to the site a week later and everything is fine again.

I don't hunt parks much any more. Last I did I use to use my Sovereign in all metal and listen for the faint signals. Then I would check them in disc mode and if I got even a slight jump in my meter I would dig. So many of them were coins I would have missed swinging over in disc mode.

I have a Polish detecting buddy that goes three weeks a year back to Poland to detect with about 6 other detectorist there. He says all of them have been trading in their Deus' for the Rutus, which they say is a better machine!

I agree. Never found so much silver in one site with any other machine than my GS. 8 silver coins on an evening hunt last year.

I have a 1265 and I have dug up small silver 5 cent pieces here in Canada deeper than anyone I know with any modern machine. About three times now at 8" at least! I almost never dig rusty nails anymore at any dept

I had same problem so got rid of mine. If I wanted to dig more junk I would just turn down the disc on my Fisher 1265 and do

I have a Deus that I am selling now because I just have not seen the benefit of this machine over my current lot of detectors. I used it only three times in a real hunt but played with it in my test garden quite a bit.
One thing I discovered on one of my hunts scared me a bit about the machine and how settings can effect how the good stuff comes in. I got a scratchy signal one evening at a si

I bought an XP Deus over a month ago and have not been too impressed by it. I have a really good test garden with coins and nails mixed in and my 25 to 30 year old detectors do just as well in most cases. Just put it this way, on performance alone, if I had tested a Deus in my garden before I bought it I would not have spent the money.
It is great over a lot of other detectors that has nothin

I hope whatever the update is it gives me a reason to keep my Deus. I've never been so unimpressed with a detector purchase like I have been with this machine.

What makes a great machine? One that is almost perfect at doing what it is good at and does not try to be everything you need for all conditions. When required, it's fine to sit out a hunt and let another machine step in. That's why I have 4 or 5 machines. What they are good at they can blow away most multi purpose machines made today.

I hunt with a friend that uses a Deus and I've never dug so many square nails and rusty bottle caps as he has in a single hunt.
My definition of a detector that is a leap of technology is one that improves the ratio of good targets to bad targets, not one that gets lots of good targets while you are also digging 50% more holes of bad targets. You can do that with an old 1980's detec

Hoow many people actually believe that were it not for the Civil War slavery would still exist today? It was a horrible period in American history and the American south, but it certainly does not define the country. Those who choice to do that continue to enslave themselves for the "sins of the fathers". If the flag offends you, don't look at it. In a free society you do not have
