For people to say they work or not, they say they must be proven by science. Meaning someone has to be able to duplicate it or it don't work .....correct. Then as an example lets take the Bigfoot coil it works, yet nobody has been able to duplicate it, people have tried without any success. So does that mean the Bigfoot coil really dosen't work because science can't prove it does?

It should be a good detector. The one thing they needed to change, was where the coil plugs in, or make a short cable to make it easier to change coils.

Thanks for clearing that up. I watched videos where mixed mode was mentioned and did not hear mixed mode, and wondered what they heard to call it mixed mode.

Does anyone make a short cable for changing the coil on the AT PRO? Or can someone make one? The position of the plug and the design of it in my opinion is stupid and bad designing. I have contacted Garrett a number of times trying to get them to do one, with no results.

Nice finds. They should have compared other detectors, and showed how it did before they dug the target. Someone still needs to show the detector locating a target, then dig while being filmed.

I like the delta pitch, and being able to set the tone break where you want it. The thing I don't like is digging bigger pieces of iron reading as a coin, that I have seen on videos. If it had mixed mode like on the DFX where it operates in discriminate and all metal at the same time along with VCO, you will not mistake bigger pieces of iron for a coin. The Racer 2 has the same problem with

Thanks for the video. I am probably the one that complained the most about seeing a video. I like the delta pitch on the Impact, because I see you can set the tone break where you want.

I would like to see a video with mixed mode, with a target close to trash. Most of the targets I find are in lots of trash, making most targets impossible to use the pinpoint trigger on.

I am not skeptical or distrustful, I just want to see videos of actual hunts. Show that or just show pictures, then I don't have to log in to youtube to see nothing but isolated or dug targets. I have seen a lot of Keith's videos that show hunting and locating targets, then digging them.

How does mixed mode on the Impact do? Can you tell the difference between a coin size target or a large item? Does it use VCO like the DFX, to make it easy sorting bigger items from coin size targets? Using mixed mode and VCO on the DFX I can isolate a target the size of a nail or bigger and remove it without having to use the pinpoint trigger.

There is too much hype on new detectors that come out. I think I will wait and see if the Impact is as good as people say it is. There needs to be videos to back written words, before I am impressed with it.

Is there anyone that has the Impact that can film an actual hunt? With the videos that are shown they show NOTHING!!!! I want to see a good video, with what being shown is targets being found. Without showing finding targets, how am I to believe the target as not planted.
I find nothing wrong with the people that have the Impact or doing videos, I just want to see good videos that don't

I would like to see videos that show actual hunts, rather then videos showing an isolated target being scanned. I want to see if it struggles in lots of trash or can separate the targets good. I would rather watch 25 minutes of video with only a few items found, than see 30 items found without showing what the detector actually does like hunting in trash.
I can base a decision of purchasing a

I have never run a MXT. On the DFX using mixed mode using VCO, I do not have to pull the trigger to get a high pitch squeal from any metal the coil gets close to, and still get the high pitch beep over a good target.

I know the nail board test is about the only test most people use. I would say if you hunt in lots of trash, locate a coin and dig 4 inches to all sides and 3 or 4 inches below it flip it over, then see if your detector can locate it. If you did that 10 times, I would say your detector would fail most of the time.

In my opinion nail board test are NOT like actually detecting in lots of trash, unless a person is going to detect every square foot from every direction, the test shows you nothing. The test are staged because you know the position of your target and the trash around it.
