I just went to minelabs web site and opened the manual and didn't see an updates? I searched for the word STAB and didn't yield any stabilizer updates. Either that or I'm blind unless they have a section for updated manuals... Thx....

Well I'm gonna leave this as it might help someone.. It ended up being the cord I got with the detector was bad, I tried another cord and took right off....

I downloaded both Utilities and when I plugged the detector in it knew there was an update and took about 5-10mins to updated it and seems to be fine. Well I just ran the Minelab Update Utility Ml105 3.44.2+2 Utility and I turn on the head phones and plug them in and the screen says Connect a device to check for updates. On or Off nothing happens.

I've updated the machine but was there a headphone update? I downloaded the software but it didn't show an update for those. Haven't seen it posted anywhere if it was an update for both or just the manticore itself... Thx

Does anyone have or can suggest a setting for 1 way targets? Meaning if you swing from L to R you hear a high tone but when sweating back from R to L its a null. and if you spin on its a null. Some people are suggesting that you can find coins by getting a one way tone and hitting the Pinpointer and digging it. I've done this for 3 days and all I'm getting it square nails. Looking for

Well I got around to putting up another video showing a few tips & clues about the 2D screen. For any new manticore users out there....
Learning The Manticore
I'm starting to open up the screen even more my goal is to get down to 4-5 Upper ferrous limits. This place I'm hunting is loaded with nothing but square nails as the old school was a wooden one and it was taken down ear

I also run 1-Region All-Tones, and I use simple audio also. For me I don't wanna miss any deep targets and simple audio. As some people like normal so they can hear the whispers of deep targets. But being almost 60 what happens if I don't hear it? I just might have missed a good target. So in Simple mode it bangs like a 2" coin would. If I curious about the depth I can see how many

Well I've been out using and learning this new Manticore. I've got a site that's never been hit. So there are cherries everywhere. Here's a short video of some of my better finds and I think there are bits in there for new users as well.

TOM: Well I know this site is from my perspective is a learning tool and trading ideas and looking for suggestions. So I put these together to help others shorten the learning curve. I will most probably do videos covering in depth Sensitivity settings, Recovery Speeds, Different Modes, & Discrimination Values. As I'm learning at the same time as none of us have had this machine long eno

A couple finds from last Sundays hunt with Manticore. The more and more I pay attention to the 2D screen the more I'm learning about what's in the ground.

TOM I might be wrong but I think he is talking about every day inland hunting. I've read on other forums where he's primarily an inland hunter.
Also I had someone tell me "below 5 recovery speed will masked close non ferrous with nails" This isn't correct right? I thought the higher your recovery speed will mask non ferrous targets with ferrous targets in the ground.

TOM I was trying to figure out the last part of your comment "non-linear/disproportionate/asymptotic rate" So I googled asymptotic to see what came up and it was this,

To me it represents the higher you set your discrimination the more masking or non-linear it will be vs Lowering your Discrimination makes those targets more visible or linear would this be correct? I was ne

Well TOM the land owners that were hesitant to give me permission but after our conversation decided to. They had said this place hasn't been detected before and I plan on hunting there for at least this year and longer. The point I want to make is 99% of it is modern trash free. So this is a good place for me to learn the manticore while slowing opening it up more and more as time goes on.J

Was out at an old 1870s meeting house and late 1800s school house. Both had lots of Iron. But My settings in the end were ATG LC / Recovery 2 / Ferros Limits 10/3 I'm getting more comfortable with this unit I might roll back the 10 to a 9 on the next outing Sunday. I stand corrected. I know I had sold mine long time just before the new equinox hit. truthfully I only remember the 1 update not saying there wasn't others. As It was heavy and in my opinion the nox was just a better machine and even today they are still selling. I'm guessing they still have the original chip set from when they first came out. I'm not sure when the the 3030 came ou
