i will have the 5" coil monday and give it a spin probalby in the button patch sometime this week.
i have read some good things regarding this coil.
i opted for the G2 for the hand grip and 11" coil over the gold bug...........i liked the feel of the f75 when i had one.
good luck

Let me fill u in why I wanted the G2.
1)…at pro has not been released yet – have one on order since knowledge of it.
2)…I am looking for a light weight beach machine and can pick up and go……..hunt dry if I want, damp if I want, dirt/woods (button zone for me) and shallow water………..with a screen……………..never liked screens until I got the etrac and f75.
In my quest for this one detector I have tr

nickels hit right on 58 like the book said...........then i hit a 59......another nickel i think........59 turns out to be a kinda deep oxidized pull tab...........hit 2

F-75 AND BEACH GOLD QUEST
for several weeks now I have been using my f75 on the beach.
Hunting zone has been damp sand and lower dry zone. Been finding lots of clad, odds and ends, and lots of lead, one 46 silver dime.................No gold or any form.
So, I have been testing my f75 at home some in the afternoon with these conclusions. Now I need comments from one and all.
With it

i have tried some
radio shack model - 33-1253 maybe.....makes little difference - they work, not great, but work......kinda small and flimsy
so last week i read on several forums about sentry phones......H900's i think, they came in and boy are they ever nice, work on tv, ipod, but i can not get them to work on F75..........i can hear the target in a muffled background state.
anyone

Here is part of what my buddy beachcomber told me......makes sense to me
"That ring is very thin and tough for the multifrequency machines to detect. However wet salt sand is conductive so when the ring was in the wet sand it completed the circuit essentially connecting the two ends of the ring together making it easier for the Excal to detect it. The Tesoro is a single frequency machin

one day a few weeks ago i was spinning down the surflane with my old excal II and i hit this kinda iffy target.
it was a kinda good solid iffy signal, not loud, but there so to speak, so i dug her up and it turns out to be a small gold wire ring........has a heart at each end and it not connected, just end to end.......see pic

I agree with everything ziphius said
especially the::------Deep, faint targets will sound off louder, some targets you may not have been able to hear in other modes will become prominent-----
my area where i have tried to use it and i will find tiny pieces of foil, alum.,etc................i am talking BB size or less and sound good real deep.
i can not use it for that reason. i would

i use my f75 2 or 3 times a week on the chesapeake bay (salt water) damp sand beach,
tom said below average, i do not think of it that way. i see it as adequate if u do not mind all the signals.
meaning hunting in all metals is a must, manual ground balance to 0 - i need info. on "00"
i can run the sent............around 80 or so and it does ok,(should lower) but signals, my b

be able to swivel the screen right or left about 20 degrees depending on if I am swinging with my right hand or left. Ergonomically it would help the neck pain as well as keeping your arm straighter. I hate having to contort my arm and crane my neck

targets can be given a tone for each
has some excellent features that sound like i love them. i would hope to see some beach tests soon.
IT IS NOT LIGHT, balance good from what i have heard, never owned any white's so i can not comment on this
i doubt the batteries will come close to matching the f75 performance
i have to quote tom: f75 remains the trump card..............for
