The AT-Pro in Pro mode has modulated audio and it gives you a general idea if it's deep or shallow. If you ever get a good sounding signal and no id dig it!! It's usually a good deep target I usually hunt in Pro mode zero with iron disc at 31-33 and most times in thick nail and iron infested areas I run iron audio on to listen for those iffy dig me signals.

Well looks like the discrimination is better than deep techs which in my book was the deal breaker on getting a Deep Tech I ain't got good enough knees or time to dig a boat load of trash when I'm coin hunting!! Maybe for relics a Deep Tech would be great! But I'd rather have a machine that does great on both coins and relics and has the ability to cherry pick trashy areas!

Thanks for your input Keith I have had both and it just seems the AT-Pro handles iron and soil conditions better to me. My AT-Pro usually Auto ground balances out at 80-87 in my areas I hunt, I remember reading somewhere that I can adjust the ground balance to get better depth but I can't remember what it said to do raise it or lower it manually. Do you know anything bout that? Thanks Morgan
