Lovely, I'm sure but does she have 265,000 followers on Facebook and YouTube. We all enjoy the sharing and connectivity we enjoy here, keep in mind it's a real big world out there.
I am trying to get my head around all this. It is the new reality, tens of millions,of people all over the world can see whatever we put out there. People who are willing to run with that can have an en

I had fun following the "ball of yarn" through Google search and finding out more about this obviously intelligent and talented young woman. She is a bit of a Power on YouTube and her channel is an example of what the TV establishment is terrified of.
If she is serious about relics, treasure, etc. She could sure use a mentor. I am too old, too busy and way too married to qualify!

The young woman in the video who I referred to as a "British Hottie" is actually Kathleen Elliott (AKA Kater17). She was born in Virginia with an American father and English mother - shortly after she was born she moved to England with her parents and spent the next 20 years there. she came to the States a couple of years ago - her accent is now thoroughly mixed up! She got her start i

Let's face it guys – how many of our hunting buddies look anywhere near as good as this little British hotttie?
Never mind that she's doing it all wrong the clear lesson here is we're doing it all wrong!
Oh well

OK, I'm over being PO'd about how WE got scammed.
Seriously though, here's how I deal.
When I'm buying privately, I send cash via PayPal, USPS Money Order, etc. I don't do it however before I get a real name, address, phone number and email address. I have a phone conversation if possible to make sure I don't get any weird vibes. I also Google the seller and

So what's the extra button for? My goldbug pro has, between the plus and minus a single push pad for ground grab and pinpoint. This machine seems to have two push pads - one above the other??

As I understand it, micro jewelry is unrecoverable in salt water, including wet sand, due to the return the salt gives - masking the very small low conductive gold. If this is correct, you are limited to dry sand. Given that, a VLF IB detector is the best and cheapest solution. Many will work, with the Gold Bug 2 being the most sensitive to tiny stuff. Note - that includes every tiny bit of f

I use mine with a Minelab Pro Swing 45 harness. Makes it nearly weightless. The bungee system is especially clever, you can adjust the length on the fly to compensate for slopes. Very handy when nugget hunting.

Thanks for the endorsement. It's just a little strange for me dealing on behalf of a third party. No good deed goes unpunished!!! LOL

Apologies to all – but I just realized if I take PayPal the money stuck in PayPal so I can get it out and I/O the owner cash. Therefore I can only except payment by US postal money order.
The detector which I posted about earlier - belonging to the lady with the sick dog - is now ready for sale. It is a 1021 series and she says she used it about 7 times from new.
It had a bad battery conta

A guy who signs as "Will_Penny" on other forums uses a Whites Sierra Madre Detector and a 25" Magnum Force coil to find privies. Then they dig them out and get all those lovely medicine bottles.
I just had a bit of double luck and got one of the coils and one of the detectors from different sources in the same week! Only problem is that the ground is so darned hard here in AZ,

Just when I was getting bored - there you go! Now we're on another sonar hunt for those stealthy Nazi rat u-boats with only our ears to guide us.
Pardon my getting silly about it Keith, but your whole approach to detecting is a "new wonder of the age". You are challenging us to really open up the audio spectrum as a refreshing alternative to the numerical digital flat response

That's a mystery wrapped in an enigma:
There's the halo theory
There's the Pulse Induction (mainly Minelab) theory
Then there' s every one who swears that their Coinscannerdeepscannergoldscanner Special finds 10" dimes in radioactively hot red dirt in spite of the fact that it only air tests at 7".
The earth is a dark and mysterious place and when we prob

I'll probably get the detector from the lady tomorrow. Now I know I really should - at eight o'clock in the evening now after a long day search back through the history files here and figure out exactly what the correct air test setup is so that I can truthfully say what this detector does.
On the other hand we're all in this to share knowledge – I wonder if somebody would be ki

I know a nice lady of some years who regularly whips me at Pickelball (look it up)
She has a CZ-3D bought new and almost never used. I plan to get it and try it out on the air tests used on this forum. Assuming it's a "goodun" I will post it here in a sort of silent auction. She will get 100% of the proceeds (she has an old dog, big vet bills).
I will keep you posted on ho

Too little, too late, too expensive!
Minelab's next phased announcement of their new detector is up on their website this morning.
An Australian dealers website show the price at AU$3999. This tracks pretty well with information I was given recently by a US dealer who said that Minelab indicated they were aiming for a $3800 price for this detector.
The information on Minelab

Well tomorrow's the day – January 31 – when minelab will announce full details of their new SDC2300 pulse induction detector. Of course if I had any sense I'd wait till tomorrow to read what they posted - and then make my oh so clever comments about what they actually put up. Sadly I have no sense.
From what I've heard from a - I think very reliable - source, the new detect

Here's my theory of why all the US detector manufacturers are being challenged by newcomers to the scene.
If you are a clever electronics engineer in the US you are going to be working for Qualcomm, Cisco, or some other hi tech major corporation or some startup with bags of venture capital money. Same goes, even more so if you are a software guy involved with digital signal processing.

On my GSP, crown caps false in all metal when "centered" on the DD COIL, but if I go to discriminate with less than 40 on the setting, and just "tickle" the target with the nose of the coil, I get a clear iron "blat". I haven't tried this at depth however.
