The CZ3D will be a classic detector that will only continue to go up in value, especially after they stop making them. That machine costs more to produce than any of the new ones.

Steve,
Tom has been known to calibrate, (not repair) the CZ line of machines (except the CZ-70 Pro), when he has the time. This is something he does in his spare time to help fellow MD'ers and for his love of the hobby. I just happen to ask him when he had the chance... fortunately for me, and everyone else who he has helped out.

My hunting buddy just sent me this link. Especially good for us "cabin fever" types researching new or old places to "pound" this spring.

I dont see that happening either, nor do I think its worth your time, unless you had a radically different technology to offer....
Like... pulse induction discrimination...nah, forget it. Just wishful thinking.

I just sent my CZ 70 Pro to FISHER last year for calibration only and Daniel took care of it and works great. Before I sent to them I sent it to guy (who supposedly to be better than FISHER) and had it for 6 months and it didnt work any better when I got it back. Lesson learned: always send a product back to the manufactuer for repair.

I have to agree with the above statement. My experience with my 75 LTD was not good, and could not be resolved by

Thats possible. I know the factories over here dumped alot of garbage into the Detroit river before the EPA came along. Even still...call me crazy, I'd still take my chances. Wear some long rubber gloves and boots and have at it.

The plastic on the SE does not scratch easy, and I have cleaned it off many times, and not one scratch. The plastic is different than the 75 LTD which is a real hi-gloss plastic and "prettier" versus the SE which is non-reflective, dull and soft. It actually bends when you push on it. It takes alot to scratch it.
Thanks for the link

I'm sure all of us are very sorry for the loss of your loved one, and the grief you are experiencing.
Here are some scriptures that brought me comfort when I was going through the loss of a loved one, may they do the same for you.
Isaiah 25:8, 9 / John 5:28, 29 / John 11: 25, 26 / Psalms 146: / Luke 7: 11-16 8: 49-56
Take care.

Sorry Tom,
It just seems to me that First Texas is just looking for different angles to make more money, just like the car companys make minor cosmetic changes on the next years models just for those who have to have the newest car. It seems to me they could hold off and incorporate alot of those ideas into fewer models instead of a dozen or more.

Monte just weighed in his thoughts regarding the Safari just last week on his forum.
"Now, since you also have an SE Pro I will add this. I personally didn't get thrilled with the E-Trac, but have owned other Explorers. (Note: I consider ALL of the FBS models to be Explorer types with different settings.) I have owned Explorer XS's and Explorer II's and an SE Pro, and have

Findmalls latest forum was already closed because somebody started some trouble by saying some nasty stuff. 1st time I went to go to check it out I find it closed. I wanted to just ask what some of the big differences there is between the SEpro and the Etrac in terms of speed, depth, discrimination ect. Oh well I guess I'll pose the question here now.

I found my first real old button in almost 25yrs of hunting, at my old park with my SE 6" deep, that read like a zinc penny, in a REAL trashy area, going real slow with a '5 SunRay coil. The writing on the back I thought reads "PICH COLOUR" and the shank looks like its soldered on. It has a real nice green patina. I posted it on the Explorer forum on Findmall and the guys ther

Keith, I really appreciate your post, thank you for the time spent writing it. I spend most of my hunting time at a big park thats around 2 miles from my house that has had activity in it for around 150yrs. It is my favorite place to go, and theres only few select places in it that I care to hunt and havent been to disturbed for the last 50-60yrs. I have been hunting it since the mid 80's an

Yep, same with me last night...had a decent signal from almost all angles, a little choppy. Ended up being a 5 inch bent nail. Glad you mentioned it, now I know why. Thanks.

I have been in contact with the manager there, kinda difficult working through translation, but I think I got it figured out. The prices that they want are very reasonable, considering their shipping from the Ukraine. I think they just want to get it into the hands of some hunters in the U.S. Once they set up distributors their pricing will be more competitive.

No, I just emailed the contact link. Thats very curious, Kellyco's Accelerator coils are made in Bulgaria. I wonder whats up with these hi performance coils being made in Europe?

Julien, thanks for finding that site. I emailed them, nothing back yet. I'm interested in the shooter coil for the Explorer.
$160. shipped actually sounds really reasonable. The SunRay 5inch coil is almost $200. shipped. Awesome coil though.
Have you found out what country this in yet?
Thanks, Aaron
