It is pretty easy. I always GB mine when hunting the wet salt sand, and then re-ground if I head into the water or up into the dry sand.
Use the bobbing method all the time...takes about 15-20 seconds.
Remember Cal...CZ 20's and CZ21's are always in 'salt mode' so they will not be as sensitive to smaller gold like the Nox.
BUT....at least in my case with the 2 CZ20&

Cool finds. The one relic looks like a pawn from a chess board (obviously it is not).
Do you know what the symmetrical piece above the buckle on the lower right is ?
Cal...were you running a Relic type program ?

Steve,
I have been using a CZ6a since they first came out, as well as an E-Trac since they came out (still have my original Irish made E-Trac).
I prefer the CZ over the E-Trac, but that's just me since my ears and brain are more tuned to that unit, as well as me salt water beach hunting a lot and the E-Trac is less environmentally sound in that arena as opposed to the sealed CZ6a.

We need a nice 1-2 day, steady calm rain. All we get are these crazy thunderstorms now.
Can't even beach hunt (not that I do in the Summer). Can't wait until the Fall weather gets here. I am a Summer, warm weather guy, but this is nuts.

Smart move Steve.
Just save up and wait for a CZ3D to appear on one of the classifieds.
Those 2 units in an arsenal are a deadly 1-2 combo.

There is always a chance you will find something in a spot that was hunted 100's of times, just due to the changes in the environment, angles of the coil, etc...

Without a doubt. When I do make the trip to A.C. to hunt, it's always wet sand and suds hunting. I never venture into the dry there.
Even Seaside is a pain in the butt in the dry sand with all the .22 casings from the old shooting gallery arcades let alone the aluminium trash and arcade tokens

Atlantic City needs a nice storm to take 8-10 feet of sand away.
The beach out in front of the Taj made for some nice hunting years ago, when the big pieces of iron and concrete showed themselves at low tide. If the 'octopus' is showing itself (a large piece of concrete and 7-8 pieces of re-bar sticking out if it in all directions) at least a foot off the sand, then it's a good

Dean,
Can't sell it. Was just offering if you wanted to try it. I hear you in terms of not wanting to take that chance.
I would recommend that coil though. It's a good one. The Whites 5.3, SEF 8x6 and the Ultimate 13 are the 3 coils I use on my MXT Pro. All are great coils in my opinion and cover most all applications.

Flint,
I have a Ultimate 13 I can send your way if you want to try it out. Just ship it back the same way I ship...USPS priority.
I sniffed out some deep V Nickles with that thing....it's a great coil.

The Airstreams are really nice. A bit on the high side, but I am saving up !

Thought so. Like the saying goes 'Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery'. Deus designers must have known how good the GMP

Aaron,
If I am not mistaken, didn't the first versions of the Deus have a GoldMaxx program as one of the options ?

Paul,
WOW...what a great picture !
Thank you for the info on the OS versions of the phones. I have an iPhone and iPad so I should be good to go. Just in the research stages now but it looks like these can be a heck of a lot of fun to use in all areas.
You proved that point with that great shot of the hawk.
I know this is kinda off topic in terms of the Tarsacci. Shoot...may have to

In Enhanced mode, at trashy sites, a CZ3D could be worse than a regular CZ since it will up average certain trash items as high tone whereas a regular CZ may/will ID them as mid tone.
The main strong suit of a 3D is in older sites with less trash where certain older coins will ID as a high tone in Enhanced mode, where a regular CZ may end up IDing the older coin as a mid tone.

Just when I thought I was out...you guys pull me back in.
Time to do an inventory of my arsenal, pick out some of the victims and put em up for sale to finance a Mavic 2 Pro !
Darn it !!!!

Great stuff Paul. Always a pleasure to read your posts and hear what you have to say.
Love the idea of using a drone for research.
Wonder if a small coil is in the works for the MDT 8000 at some point.

In reading his post, he stated it was a repeatable 6. That's not a garbage signal (especially on a Nox since a lot of good targets ID low), although he stated he thought it would be foil...which is garbage.
So the entire 'garbage signal' is subject to debate.
It's a great find never the less.

LE...I appreciate your response. I figured as much but wanted to ask.
Rick...what you stated is important. The 7uS delay AND the silence (which I am taking as no noise and an ultra smooth threshold), makes the AQM an interesting beast.

LE.JAG,
Question.
Do you think this new unit will end up replacing your Goldscan and Goldquest units ?
I had a Goldquest SSv2...loved it. Sold it because I didn't know how/where it would get serviced if it ever went bonkers. I am not the tech type to be able to fix it.
This new unit ( I am assuming) will come with a warranty and a service center. Always a plus these days.

Welcome.
Every time I hear or read the word Montenegro I think of the scene in the James Bond Casino Royale (2006 version) movie of the train going through the woods. It's beautiful.

Mike,
I have one with the 11 inch and Super Six coil.
If you want to do the same try before you buy deal, let me know. I can ship it out to you just like I did with the Mojave.
It's a great unit. Found a sweet gold chain in the dry sand in a bunch of rusty nails last year with it using the Super Six coil.
