First I want to thank calabash for all the videos I really appreciate them. In my opinion for my type of sites I like BOTH types of machines. After my sites stop producing it’s time for the DeepTech VGG running as hot as I can run it digging any non ferrous blip, that machine to me is a joy to use in the right place.

Got my 600, still waiting for my 800. I’ve done a ton of reading up and watching videos before receiving machines. Took the 600 out to my coin garden hoping I wouldn’t be disappointed after hearing about depth concerns, All I can say is that I’m still in shock how good the 600 performed on my test coins that have been buried for about 15 years. It hit everything no problem, the huge eye opener fo

I’ll be patiently waiting for this monster. Make sure it’s built to take the saltwater environment. maybe incorporate that abrasion resistant plastic from the new pinpointers, use marine grade ss hardware and don’t forget to make the strain relief/ coil cable tough. My funds will be ready when this machine is ready.

Really great finds MRH! Had to be nice to get out and do some swinging and know all our obsolete machines can still get the job done. Lol

Early last summer I bought a used 17” coil for my CTX for beach hunting, I noticed that the strain relief had a slight split in it and knew I needed to do something right away being that I was mainly hunting the saltwater surf line but didn’t want the repair to make coil look butchered. I came across this stuff called sugru “ moldable glue that turns to rubber” and gave it a try, the repair c

I have 0 bar to 1 bar dirt. My ground is frozen right now otherwise I’d try burying deeper coins, I had the 25khz VG and really liked it also but I feel this new 30khz VGG is definitely a notch above tonal wise and with the added gain control punches deeper than the original VG in my dirt. I need to make a deeper test garden for this machine. Check out Keith’s videos, he has highly mineralized d

I got the super six coil for the VGG yesterday and gave it a run in my test garden, I was very surprised to see it hit my measured 12” quarter from every angle with solid modulated 2 way hits as well as my 8” and 10” nickel loud n clear. This machine is unbelievably deep, fast and has tones that just speak like magic, I can’t wait to see Keith’s review on this coil on this machine, I don’t know h

Hmmm quote from Minelab site “ customers who have pre ordered detectors should thus expect to start receiving them from late January “. Sounds like they should already be here to me.

Awesome finds Keith and Great write up! You do an amazing job of explaining a ton of valuable info. Now I want a back up VGG to add to my first one lol! I knew right away when I tested my VGG in my test bed that the audio was extraordinarily good, DeepTech nailed it big time with this machine, it’s got depth that’s second to none, hits strong on a wide range of nonferrous targets conductivity wi

The Quest 20 is a very good detector. Has built in rechargeable batt, telescopic shaft, seems built very well and hits my 10” nickel in zero bar dirt. The ID is a little off on it though but that’s impressive for a $250 machine in my book. The 8” nickel is no problem and ID’s as it should. It’s a FUN little machine that performs very well, packs small enough to put in back pack if you gotta hike

Thanks for all the help everyone I really appreciate it. Looks like I’ll be set with the machines I’m bringing. Kinda glad I don’t have to have a crash course in running a GPX “never ran one” even though the price of a new 4500 is very tempting lol. I’ll probably start off running the VGG, that machine just clicks very well with me has monster depth and I’m confident it won’t leave much behind.

Was wondering if anyone knows how the mineralization is in SC? My sister bought a small farm in Chapin area, it’s 38 acres she also got me permission to hunt a much bigger farm. I’m heading down there the end of February for a week or so. I’ll be bringing CTX, Deus, VGG, Impact and hopefully the Equinox lol. Just wondering if I need a gpx 4500 to handle the ground? Thanks

Merry Christmas Keith, I’m looking forward to that VGG hunt video and any other videos you do lol. I really appreciate the time you spend doing them. It’s 26 degrees here with the wind howling, that’s too cold for me to get out hunting. Thanks
