I'd just ad---(for my part, my point being)--I was in town (El Paso) to visit the FT plant (very impressive) & do a transaction (coils)---also think that (again, most) of their detectors are impressive--CZ-3D included! ----------Del

Was in El Paso a short time ago.---The pollution (polluted air) coming across from Mexico was TERRIBLE!----I'm sure FT is a good company to work for & the CZ-3D is a good detector no matter which side of the border it is assembled at.----But that pollution, WHEW---(visitors point of view)----maybe I hit a "bad day". grin-----BTW, I do like (most) FT detectors!!---------Del

Tom----I sure didn't know any of that (how shield paint is applied).-----VERY INTERESTING, thanks so much for the explaination.-----It's almost like shield paint is a type of "filter" (or blocker of sorts) inside of the coil (for ground noise/reaction) isn't it?-----I had heard about shield paint at various times but never understood how it was applied (or the FULL import

Hey ozzie----The wife & I got a laugh out of your "bird report"---I'll bet you do miss those birds (now that you think back on it). laff----I remember as a kid on my grandpa & grandmas farm in eastern NE, they had guineas.----Boy, those things had me intimidated, they had me on the run about every time they "caught" me out in the farm yard.----I miss my grandparen

Believe you are correct on that marcomo.-----Monte is from the Portland, OR area (Oregon City)--heavier mineralization there.---I am from eastern OR (gold country) & I'm sure the mineralization is even heavier where I live/hunt.----Tom being from FL & (very) light mineralization, I think it is VERY interesting to hear reports from both sides of the mineralization spectrum.---------De

My source said "close--about 3 to 4 oz. difference" (heavier).-----But then that's just that much more weight out there on the end of the "stick".----Depends on what an individual considers "too much" (weight) I guess.-----I've used Explores/Etracs for years (some of the time with larger coils), so am used of the added weight.---I gotta admit though, I REAL

That's just guesses or speculation about Monte being on the Tek payroll.---Unless you know it for sure as a fact, it's kind of a "nasty rumor" to start up--doncha think???-----Hey, if you REALLY want to know, P.M. him & ask him!---He won't lie to you.-----Monte does a LOT of tests on other brands of detectors also and gives many of them a favorable report as well (if

gold & silver prices???---Is it going to KEEP going up?---We just sold a bunch of both gold & silver last summer--boy did I screw up (again)! grin-----You know the old saying--dollar cost averaging (both up & down markets).---Got a LITTLE left but wished I would have only sold half (or less) of what I did.--------Del

coin hunting in parks, etc.?---If so, how's it working out on the medium to deeper coins? (in this type of setting)-----I've been using it for relic hunting in one of the nastiest "iron pits" you could imagine.----The target seperation in iron (5" coil) is just amazing---been pulling good targets (mainly eagle buttons) out of ferrous trash that you wouldn't think was

Just talked with a reliable FT source (don't ask me for names) & was informed that FT is comeing out (very shortly) with a 15" DD coil for the T2.---Supposed to be close to the nice weight of the 11" DD stock coil---relic hunters oughta love it.----I ain't even gonna post this on "the other forum"---all they want to do is fight over there (as has been witnessed b

Tom----What did you think of that nail/coin test that was done by "piledriver" (in his video) on the Findmall (Garrett) forum?----That was similar to the nail/coin tests you have done in the past on CZ's wasn't it?---------Thanks, Del

Would the small coil (5" DD) on the Standard T2 have any advantage (when working in trash) over the F-75 LTD (running in the DE mode) & useing either the 6.5" concentric or 5" DD on the 75?--------Thanks, Del

What do you like & dis-like about the Omega?----How would you rate it on your list of detector picks?----For what type of hunting & under what circumstances do you feel this detector would be best suited?----Any input/comments about this detector would be greatly appreciated.------Thanks, Del

Thanks Tom----I really appreciate your answers to my questions-you certainly are a credit to this fine hobby.------Do you feel that the T2 (in either the standard or LTD) would have ANY REAL advantage over the F-75 (in either the standard or LTD)?----I realize that the T2 has an expanded iron range.---If so, what would this advantage be (scenario/hunt environment)?---------Thanks, Del

Which one of these two LATEST production machines appears to be the most stable (all things being equal)--the T2 or the F-75?----That (hopefully) should apply when the new T2 LTD comes out as well, right? (T2 LTD v.s. F-75 LTD for stability).--------Thanks, Del
