I am not familiar with the mxt but it sounded like it reported it as iron? Barely had any squeak of a high tone to indicate non ferrous. Both t2 and impact had more audio sounding like potential non ferrous. But again I am not familiar with mxt

Glad to see you posting more on the impact keith! Hope you do some videos whenever you get a chance. Your audio videos on the racer series gave me a big step up in learning the language and helped a lot, with me only having limited time to hunt they definitely shortened the learning curve

Best thing about the hoover boys to me is the reactions are real they don't seem to put on a hyped up fake show just good old boys doing what they like as a hobby and having fun. Brads reaction shaking and almost to tears over hitting the flowing hair was 100 percent real. That's what makes it enjoyable to me

There is 2 different sets of normalized tid numbers per the Manuel sheet. I think Gen Gen d sta sta d vlx1 vlx2 and maybe deep mode are one set of normalized I'd numbers with a iron ID range of 0 to 15. And di2 di3 di99 di4 and cog are there own set of normalized Id numbers with a iron range of 0 to 40

Nice digs, I'm in the opposite camp on the grip angle I think they have it perfect on the impact but agree totally on the arm cuff is just to wide. With the arm strap on to tighten it up machine swings perfect but I hate having the cuff strap on so I think I'm gonna make some delrin spacers and bolt them on the slots to tighten it up some

11 is what comes up when detector is first turned on even if buttons are not pushed, they have to be held down for several seconds after turning machine on before software version ID comes on screen. Not really doing wrong just not waiting long enough

My version is correct after double checking it. The version I'd number does not pop up automatically you need to continue holding the buttons for several seconds after turning impact on

Completely agree Tom and have went through your post all the way through at least 3 times and it is a awesome read as to the process that you went through in testing the impact, my question was in regards to Keith saying the impact did not meet the depth of the f75 in his "bad" dirt and was just curious if that was in regards to just the disc modes or all metal as well?

Sure hope I can afford the one that might be behind Keiths ???? Seems to be a brand that made it into his list a lot! At least that's what I'm hoping but time will tell

Actually it's a SHE that got the detector! I am more than happy to say that my daughter was the lucky one that tnsharpshooter gave the detector to. This is my first dealings with him of any kind but have to say kind hearted people go out of there way for children! And we as a family will undoubtedly have many fun outings where we all can take part in this wonderful sport. Many thanks again t

Keith I borrowed the relic from a coworker of mine and dirtdigger to try out on a old mid 1800s blacksmith shop site and it seems to me there is a delay on the pinpoint compared to the racer is this my imagination?
