I used to do it that way...bit I got criticized to just "get to the detector". Everybody is a critic...especially the guys with no videos or subscribers.. I do appreciate it however!
I'll keep trucking along how I do it...I am already retired at 42 and just do this for the fun, knowledge, free detectors, and being a tester of prototypes.
It's a good gig, and the

Perhaps he enjoys editing video as much as detecting. Perhaps he has a sponsorship deal that earns him extra cash or perks. Perhaps he enjoys passing along information to viewers. Perhaps he uses it as passive income to pay for his detectors and drones.

I was talking about the filming and editing portions obvioisly. His videos are cut and edited very well. That takes skill and hours worth of work. If you have not done it yourself...you should not speak of h

I can respect that. Everybody should "try" to make it appear as if they were never there. I don't use my shovel in parks so we are on the same page there.
Calling him out for being a "celebrity" for hard work is something I don't agree with however. His detecting habits aside....

They all have new date codes on the serial number...they are not overstock from the shelf.
I fully support tried and proven tech at a bonkers low price. Throw in a new pulse induction PP and a hand digger...seems legit to me. Sleep just fine tonight "supporting" that.

YouTube is hard work and he reaps the benefits of what he sows. Hours of filming and editing his metal detecting adventures got him where he is.
I've seen 20 year veterans complain about how the Garrett Carrot is too complicated...or how they don't understand the FeTone on a F19....on this very forum no less.
So it seems to me it is not the hours put in...it is the understandin

Well never go to a WalMart...Kmart..or any big box store for that matter.
Ebay and Amazon are off limits too.
Boycott Google and the ISP you are using internet on.

Garrett Scorpion was my first detector. So far it has the highest learning curve compared to the others. Deus was up there as well with that menu and option set.

Lateral vs Vertical.
Very interesting way of looking at things and experimenting with coils that would be better at one scenario vs the other.
Will definitely watch the videos.
I have both an F75 LTD and Deus. Had them for a while now and the reason I have both is because I cannot make the determination of which one I would sell if needed. I am mostly a beach hunter an

Bounty Hunter Land Ranger Pro...always loved it and nothing comes close to the option set for the price.
Of course I use my T2 - Patriot - Omega - G2+ much more often. But I love that Land Ranger Pro...special place in my heart.

@Ozzie. My pleasure man. Glad to be of service.
@Sod-Buster. If we could have hunted in the late 1800's or early 1900's even...I have no doubt a machine like the Alter 71 with a concentric would clean up without much need for a DD to follow it.
However, like you mention - the trash levels of today almost make it a must to use different types of coils...different sizes of coi

@Ozzie - You had asked me in the "Your one machine for coinshooting" thread about my reasoning for the concentric football over the 5in DD. I didn't want to hijack his topic and figured others would have something to say (or refute) as well. I'm a new guy around here so treading lightly.
I personally feel the concentric will pass a lateral test better when the objects

I must have missed where it said he was IN the water. All I read was a vague excerpt that lacked details and had an over the top and practically unbelievable high to it.
The post basically leaves it to the reader to make assumptions. Was he in water? Was he in dry sand? Did he even know how to use the other machine? What was the other machine?

Stock F19 coil already separates very well. Even the 11DD on the G2+ (same machine).
I'd go for the larger coil as depth is not its major selling point. I'd pick the SS for a F75 or T2...just not the F19 as it won't be adding much separation capability or depth compared to the stock 5x10.

T2 LTD or F75 LTD for myself.
Good depth.
Good separation.
Great battery life.
Great ergonomics.
Easy to setup.
Can handle the trifecta of my hunting likes...parks - relics - prospecting.
Give me the stock 11DD and the 5in DD...all set.
Thank goodness we don't have to choose just one. I like using all 10 detectors I own. Multiple tools for multiple jobs.

C batteries are 1.5v just like AA are. The difference is the mah (milliamps hour)...which is how long they last in accordance to the devices mah draw.
C is about 8000 and AA like 2500. So you would need roughly 3 AA per C...so that will be 4.5 volts in 3x AA.
Meaning the 4x C = 6 volts and the 12x AA would be 18 volts. You would need some sort of reisistor pehaps.

Should be good on small gold. I clipped off an extremely small bit of a paper clip with some snips. It picked it up. Also picked up birdshot. Seeing as how it goes further on a nickel than a quarter I'm inclined to think it will get small gold easily.
It would not false anywhere. Not once. Salt water or gold claim in California.
It saves settings.

My Tek-Point was 3.75 on an nickel and 3.25 on a quarter. Left it in my bathtub overnight and powered right up the next morning.
Used next to a T2...G2+...8500...F19...F44...AT Max...Etrac...Impact....no interference on any of those.
