As many of you know I build headphones, I enjoy doing it and think it is great that you's seem to be happy with them. I only want to do this part time as I have a full time job and I don't want making headphones interfer with my job, I put eveything I have into my job and also into building headphones when I build them, and although I enjoy building phones I have been stressed waiting o

Kemper, why not give it a break. It might be hard to believe but forum members on metal detecting forums want to talk about metal detecting.

I am wanting to get a 8" brown round Tesoro concentric 4 pin (Delta) coil for my Lobo ST, same coil that works with the Cibola, Vanquero, and Tejon. I am willing to build and trade a set of my 600 ohm headphones for one.

I have a nice little White's Classic II that I did the Mr. Bill's mods. on that I am looking to sell or trade for a Tesoro Compadre. Long story short, my son went to a park with me today and wanted to try using the detector, he has been out with me several times but always wanted to play in the park and never showed any interest in detecting until today. I set up the detector and showed

I have a Minelab Xterra 70 with stock 9" 7.5kHz coil, 9" 3kHz coil, and 10"x5" 18.75mHz coil for trade. Also have a meter cover and an extra pole setup. Detector is in great shape and works as it should. Looking to trade for a detector that is not digital, I guess that I am old school and prefer analog detectors. Open to all trade offers but would like a Tesoro Tejon, White

I was in a Harbor Freight store Friday and picked up a set of the black and yellow hearing protectors to give a go at making a set of phones out of. These do not have the 600 ohm speakers that I have been using that have 32 ohin speakers, a coiled cord, a 90 degree jack, a volume control and a compatibility switch. I tested them on my Minelab Xterra 70 and my White's Classic II and they so

Some of you folks refer to the headphones I make as Whiz bang headphones might not sound very professional but it has a nice ring to it, lol. Anyways I finally found some more 600 ohm speakers so I made another set of phones. I wasn't sure how things would work out or how they would sound so I wanted to keep the price down so I made them out of muffs like these They are honestly quit

Now sure how well it will work but I went into a Bath & Beauty store I believe it was called with my wife this morning to get me some more of the wonderful lotions called Stress Relief and the lady that was working there told me to try some of the Orange and Ginger Stress Relief lotion in the summer, she told me that it keeps mosquitoes away. Not sure about ticks but might be worth a try.

We get cold weather here in upstate New York but I guess that we are fortunate that we don't have to worry about poisonous snakes, there are ticks but they are not that common, you's be careful down there.

I have received a few pm's & emails about having me make some headphones. Here's the deal, I was getting the speakers from a reputable electronic company but they no longer have them. I found some on eBay and they are no longer available from there either. I have found a couple places that are selling non detecting type headphones that have 600 ohm speakers (the ohm speakers that I

Since you like the sound of your phones so well, you could send them to me and I could take the speakers out and put them in a nice set of (any color you choose) ProEar hearing protectors. PoEar's are the muffs that I use to built headphones (I believe that Killer B uses the same hearing protectors/muffs), I also use MSA hearing protectors which is the same as the Ratphones were made with.

Why I am asking is because there is a fella that has an Etrac that is not liking the sound he gets with his headphones, I mentioned that I would put some 600 ohm speakers in his headphones to make them sound better. I told him that I built a set of phones for someone with an Etrac and is very happy with the sound. I remember getting a call from the person to personally thank me but forget who it

I recenty bought a nice Xterra 70 with 3 coils (stock 9" 7.5kHz, 9" 3 kHz, 5"x10" 18.75 kHz) and am anxiously waiting for the snow to melt and the ground to thaw to try it out. I have read & heard good things about the Xterra 705 and the 70. Glad the grenade you found wasn't a live one.

I have been sort of a Tesoro guy but have wanted to try the Xterra 705 after reading all the reviews and posts that our friend Long Hair has made. I just could never afford one until now, the wife and I got a pretty good tax return and she said I could splurge. An Xterra 70 with three coils came up for sale for $300.00 shipped, I was lucky enough to be the first to jump on it. I think that it is
