No, I did not. It is not about "if" I believe this or "if" I believe that. That's a straw man argument.

For my part I think Jefferson's thoughts are relevant and have not become obsolete. Other than that I agree with Elbert so will leave it at that.

The SWAMP is full of lying leftwing news people, government employees, Democrats and the Republican establishment. You'd have to be a real dummy to believe what they're shoveling. Trump has his hands full because there are a lot of uninformed gullible people out there. The Trump supporters who voted for him will support him and put him back in office for another 4 years. If the Republicans don't rally around Trump they will lose the Senate and possibly the House in the next two election cycles. John McCain needs to retire.

The Orangeman owns the ignorant Deplorable vote. He'll certainly keep those; they don't know any better. But he's already lost the Independent voters like me. Without those he's got no chance for a second term.

I can't wait for Comey, that "Nut Job", to tell his story in public. He'll bury Trump in front of MSM cameras.

Mueller won't take any crap from Trump either. A thorough investigation will take years... enough time to kill any chances for Trump to advance his crazy agenda. The Wall? Forget about it. Trumpcare? The best opportunity he has is to cut the legs out of the Obamacare insurance subsidies and sabotage the current healthcare that benefits millions. Cut benefits to the poor and veterans? No chance; he's lost all political capital within Congress to affect spending. The Pubs blew the best chance they had in a generation.

Thank god for that.

Well said.

Trump attacked the free press, and he got exactly what he deserved

By Dana Milbank Opinion writer May 19, 2017

The president has the greatest self-pity. The best!

“No politician in history, and I say this with great surety, has been treated worse or more unfairly,” Donald Trump said this week as he heard the special prosecutor’s footsteps.

Thus did our assured head of state, equal parts narcissistic and uninformed, rank his treatment worse than that of Benito Mussolini (executed corpse beaten and hung upside down in public square), Oliver Cromwell (body disinterred, drawn and quartered, hanged and head hung on spike), Leon Trotsky (exiled and killed with icepick to the skull), William Wallace (dragged naked by horses, eviscerated, emasculated, hanged and quartered) and the headless Louis XVI, Mary Queen of Scots and Charles I.

Trump hasn’t been treated badly. He has been treated exactly as he deserved, a reaction commensurate with the action. He took on the institution of a free press — and it fought back. Trump came to office after intimidating publishers, barring journalists from covering him and threatening to rewrite press laws, and he has sought to discredit the “fake news” media at every chance. Instead, he wound up inspiring a new golden age in American journalism.

As David Brooks said tonight on News Hour....referring to Trump..."We used to have a better class of criminals..."

What's so funny is that Trump won an election that the leftwing nuts and the liberal news media thought would be impossible for him to do because of their support and that the electoral college was stacked against him. They did everything in their power to push the corrupt hag across the finish line, even giving her debate questions in advance. The people have voted, Trump won, so get over it.

The leftwing nuts, the establishment republicans, Hollywood and the liberal news media don't know squat and should keep their pie holes shut. VIDEO

One hundred and twenty days into The Orangeman's first term and we have a special commission to study the Trump campaign's malfeasances. And he thought it would all end by firing Comey. He only poured gasoline on his own dumpster fire.

Clinton certainly lost the election with a poorly run campaign. But the Deplorables don't understand that we all lost electing a man-child.

I supported Trump and was against hillary but now I highly regret that decision...so no people who supported him will not again. The independent voter, the libertarians, etc will vote for anyone else. Do I think the media is being hard on him? Yes but in many ways its deserved, I mean most of the time they are just repeating what he said and most of that is just crazy talk. He said one thing last week and does a complete reversal the next. I don't like politicians that lie. I honestly thought he was going to be working like 24/7 (as he said he would) and he ended up going on vacation like every weekend in office. Now sure the president is really always working but he bashed obama for golf/vacations and then did it himself (and thats like 1 of 10 things he bashed obama for that he is now doing). I just can't get over things like that. I am not sure why we as americans are ok with that kind of stuff. It doesn't make sense. And this comey thing is just getting worse and worse for him, its like a bad movie. I will tell you what if I was running and I said I wouldnt golf, I actually wouldn't golf. I do care if people stick their word and the president needs to be someone that does that.

The whole special investigator thing is going to go badly for the Dems and the country as a whole. For one, NO evidence exists that any statutes have been violated in regard to "collusion" with Russia. Two, the director of the FBI serves at the "pleasure of the president". The president can fire the director for ANY reason that he wants to. So, NO obstruction of justice there. That is what the conclusion of this investigation will show (after two years of wasting the tax payers money). No statutes were violated and no obstruction. The convening of a special investigator PRIOR to any evidence of collusion was really stupid, actually, questionably legal. Legally, you cannot "go after the man" in search of a crime. There has to be evidence to pursue an investigation or "go after the man". This fact just may mess up the way this investigation proceeds and favor Trump. And, hopefully, shut the Dems up for a while. OR, it may shed new light on the Hillary scandal(s) and, with any luck, she will be prosecuted as a result of this investigation.

Trump ran because the big business called government was running on high octane and getting little horsepower....inefficient, too many unnecessary govt jobs and spending....and the country is in decline..... a small part of the mess.

We the deplorable people voted him in to straighten out the mess and get America back to founding father status. Of course, the established socialists including the rino's like the way things were. They were nice and comfy, stocking their coffers and manipulating the chess pieces for their own good.

Now that Trump is in, they basically started a silent coup to destroy him. The missile is coming for them and they are firing all their chaff and flares to get him off their worthless tails.

Their little treasonous tricks may work for them if the American people don't see through the BS.

Keep informed and use common sense. Watch left and right wing news to compare. You will see the enemy's of the True American Way,... plain as the donkey in your back yard.

Here's a write I copied and pasted from a news site;

“US”

by Paul Genova:

I haven’t said too much about this election since the start….but this is how I feel…. I’m noticing that some folks aren’t graciously accepting the fact that their candidate lost. In fact some seem to be posting even more hateful things about those of us who voted for Trump. Some of you are apparently “triggered” because you are posting how “sick” you feel about the results.

How did this happen you ask? Well here is how it happened! You created “us” when you attacked our freedom of speech. You created “us” when you attacked our right to bear arms. You created “us” when you attacked our Christian beliefs. You created “us” when you constantly referred to us as racists.

You created “us” when you constantly called us xenophobic. You created “us” when you told us to get on board or get out of the way. You created “us” when you attacked our flag.

You created “us” when you took God out of our schools. You created “us” when you confused women’s rights with feminism. You created “us” when you began to emasculate men. You created “us” when you decided to make our children soft.

You created “us” when you decided to vote for progressive ideals. You created “us” when you attacked our way of life. You created “us” when you decided to let our government get out of control.

You created “us” the silent majority. You created “us” when you began murdering innocent law enforcement officers. You created “us” when you lied and said we could keep our insurance plans and our doctors. You created “us” when you allowed our jobs to continue to leave our country. You created “us” when you took a knee, or stayed seated or didn’t remove your hat during our National Athem.

You created “us” when you forced us to buy health care and then financially penalized us for not participating.

And we became fed up and we pushed back and spoke up. And we did it with ballots, not bullets. With ballots, not riots. With ballots, not looting. With ballots, not blocking traffic. With ballots, not fires, except the one you started inside of “us”

“YOU” created “US”. It really is just that simple. Pass this on if you believe this represents most of “US”. I did!

If you are happy with Trump right now, please explain something like this:

Trump in 2015:

"Many people are saying it was wonderful that Mrs. Obama refused to wear a scarf in Saudi Arabia, but they were insulted. We have enuf enemies"

Trump today 2017:

neither his wife nor daughter are wearing scarfs in saudi arabia.

I just can't understand how you can support someone that says one thing and does another. I mean this is just the most recent thing from today, there are like 10 things everyday where he says one thing and does the opposite. Obviously this is a non important issue but literally every single thing he has done since taking office is something he bashed obama for. I just don't get it. I also don't get how someone just doesn't care that he is doing it.

Not picking on you Adam, but you can't find a politician that hasn't flip-flopped on a issue over their career.

As a voter, you pick what in your mind is the lesser of two evils. Some people vote single issues, such as a conservative might be a big 2nd amendment supporter or a liberal may be a big gay rights supporter, so they hold their nose and vote for the candidate that supports their issues.

If I can find a candidate that supports 80 to 90% of the issues I believe in, I will vote for that person every time.

This is some of what does not rise to the level of requiring a special prosecutor be assigned to investigate felony wrongdoings for a Socialist:
18USC§201 Bribery
18USC§208 Acts Effecting A Personal Financial Interest (Includes Recommendations)
18USC§371 Conspiracy
18USC§1001 False Statements
18USC§1341 Frauds And Swindles (Mail Fraud)
18USC§1343 Fraud By Wire
18USC§1349 Attempt And Conspiracy (To Commit Fraud)
18USC§1505 Obstruction Of Justice
18USC§1519 Destruction (Alteration Or Falsification) Of Records In Federal Investigation
18USC§1621 Perjury (Including Documents Signed Under Penalties Of Perjury)
18USC§1905 Disclosure Of Confidential Information
18USC§1924 Unauthorized Removal And Retention Of Classified Documents Or Material
18USC§2071 Concealment (Removal Or Mutilation) Of Government Records
18USC§7201 Attempt To Evade Or Defeat A Tax (Use Of Clinton Foundation Funds For Personal Or Political Purposes)
18USC§7212 Attempts To Interfere With Administration Of Internal Revenue Laws (Call To IRS On Behalf Of UBS Not Turning Over Accounts To IRS)

Besides not securing the Libyan embassy despite repeated requests, lying about it, allowing four men to die, blaming it on a video, and lying about it.
Besides sending and receiving tons of classified info, including eight Top Secret documents on multiple unsecure devices and illegal servers
Besides mentioning and outing, on her unprotected email, an undercover agent
Besides bringing her Blackberry into secure facilities (illegal) and leaving it unsecured in her desk drawer (illegal)
Besides her saying to the FBI she though the "C" on classified emails meant paragraphs were in alphabetical order. Insane.
Besides using BleachBit to delete her .PST email file after receiving notice to protect and turn over all emails
Besides Sid Blumenthal, her advisor, losing classified emails containing state secrets sent by Hillary after being hacked by Russians and Chinese

This is what is required to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate a Republican and to call for impeachment:
Sack an incompetent FBI director that overstepped his authority (within legal presidential domain to do so, agreed by all parties)
Mention to FBI director that Michael Flynn was a good man and hoped that the FBI would let their investigation go (not wise, but not illegal)
Share intelligence information with Russian officials to join war on terrorism (all within legal presidential domain)
Used Russian dressing on salad (clear violation worthy of impeachment)
Some conspiracy theories by political enemies: to be Putin's pawn and to have overthrown presidential race (Democrat's rationalizing their major loss)

What president had to deal with such LUNACY from the opposition and their puppet media? None ever. It is shocking to me how far left the Dem party has gone. Not liberal anymore. Leftist. Impossible to have a conversation with a Dem now without them going off the rails!! What ever happened to mutual respect even though we disagree? I recently had a patient (Dem) tell me that she was seeking psychotherapy to help her deal with the election result! When I asked her why, she stated that, "I, obviously, must not watch the news". The "news" is no longer the reporting of fact but has become commentary. The sad thing is people like her believe the commentary as fact.

The fact that a special investigation has been called when the president "owns" both parties, is a move to silence the opposition. Pretty smart, IMO. No crimes have been committed. Doesn't it seem odd that they would convene an investigation with no crime? It's a smart political move to shut the opposition down.

I have no problem with politicians switching their stance on things. They should as times change and new details emerge. My problem is that I voted for someone I thought had a certain set of standards, said many things during their campaign, and now is doing the opposite. Literally everything he slammed Obama for he is doing. Its not switching his stance on an issue, its say one thing and do the other. Trump hasn't switched his stance on issues but he went out of his way to say that Obama should not be writing executive orders, which is now all Trumps done. He went out of his way to say Hillary should not accept any money from Saudi Arabia because they are murderers and yesterday they announced they are pledging 100 million towards his daughters foundation. Every single one of his actions are something he campaigned not to do. Changing his stance is different than lying. I feel he lied during the campaign and that most of the stuff he said was just a lie. He said he would drain the swamp of lobbyists then the white house said that was 'just a campaign saying' and he went out and hired 30 lobbyists. Just as an example, and lets use metal detecting, lets say I bashed someone on this sight for every they said, did, etc. I said his knowledge was wrong, his detector styles were wrong, that he uses the wrong detectors, etc. Then next month I get a TV show and I do everything I slammed him for. What does that say about my character? What does that say about the value of my word? It says a lot and its not good. Look I supported Trump but I now feel like I am in a bad movie. Sure I still like his big campaign issues but he is supposed to be the best of the best. Our leader. Our president. We should not be saying, 'well thats ok he lied about this or that'...No, its not ok. Its never ok for our leaders to lie to us...to have been lying us, and to continue to lie to us. I just don't see how anyone can say thats ok.

If you have a happy life and are at peace with yourself that is great. In fact that is all that matters. Winners and losers? Trump won and Clinton lost that's a fact. To be labeled as a winner or loser by the way you voted seems petty and trivial. Your conservative beliefs have a greater possibility of becoming law because Donnie was elected. If that makes you a winner and me a loser I guess you just got done being an eight year loser yourself. And the possibility of you becoming a loser in the future is almost a certainty. The political pendulum swings. And it always swings back. Eventually. All it takes to make winners and losers it seems are a few swing states. I wonder why they call them swing states.
