I just purchased a new Manticore, with extra 8" coil.
For people that have been using the Manticore, how do you like it
I have been detecting for 25 years, I used the Equinox 900, Deus 1, and Deus 2, so I am looking forward to warmer weather to play with the Manticore.

I shipped a detector about 50 miles one time, an it never showed up. Lucky for me, I insured the package, and the buyer settled for the insurance money.
To this day, I think the people that worked at the PO stole it.

That is cool, I have never been a fan of large coils, but looks like I am going to change my mind. Wow change frequency at the push of a button and no need to buy a bunch of coils, I'm in.

I have done business with Richard and he is a great guy. I contacted the big K, soon as they posted the Equinox for sale and pre-ordered. I am open to any dealer that can give a better price.

I have been out of the metal detecting loop for a couple of years. Just getting back into the hobby and have been following the buzz on the Equinox 800 and like what I see. I noticed Kellyco has them listed for sale, with the word no shipping date yet. I called Kellyco and got a quote for a pre-order on the 800. The salesman said the equinox could shipped to buyers by Nov or Dec. I am guessing b

I found some old ruins in a canyon in the Arizona desert and had the same feeling. I had bad vibes the whole time that I was there. Kinda the feeling you get when you are laying in bed with your eyes closed and feel someone is looking at you, open your eyes and someone or something is staring at you.
I did some research on the ruins and found out that a long time ago, the Apache Indians atta

Rick, I had a goldtrax about 2003, it was a Treasure Baron designed by George Payne and was sold as a modular metal detector that could be changed from a cointrax to goldtrax by changing a module in the control box, there was also a deep hunter module that you could install in the back of the control box. The goldtrax used 8 AA batteries and the deep hunter used 8 AA batteries so that meant 16 A

Been a while since I posted on NASA Tom's forum, great forum and lots of intelligent info. I need some assistance, a good friend sold me his XP Goldmaxx MK1 with 4 coils and the stock 9" coil has the top part of the ears broke. I feel your pain, I live within 5 miles of a busy Air Force base and the USAF can make any detector I use have a melt down. At first I blamed the Mfg's for poor quality, then realized it was not the detector but the Air Force that was effecting my detecting, they have a couple of planes the drive my detectors nuts, kinda wonder what these invisible waves are doing to my mind and body. Hey i

I got a new AT Pro with both coils one week ago and I liked the 5x8 soon as I put it on, matter of fact it is still on the AT Pro. The only problem I have right now is the temp, it is 115 here in the desert, so it will be October before I can turn it lose on my hunted out spots and see what I missed..
