Was at a dealership earlier this year when a ML rep was visiting and she said that Manticore wasnt up to CTX tech but they are working to surpass that level.
But still, in many respects, its apples and oranges on how you use the machine. A very heavy apple to a lightweight orange, I must admit.

Around here, i know several individuals that have a standing offer to pay Kitco spot at any given moment for silver and gold. They are mostly older folks who are into preparedness.
I agree that ebay fees (and policies!!!- those idiots demand access to your bank account to sell there now) make selling there impractical.

When i saw the price i was like 'wow, ha', but then i saw 2# and went 'Hmmmmm...'
Even if it never paid for itself, it could be worth it to older/disabled hunters on that point alone.

Other forums had had success with requiring FS, WTB, or WTT as the first text in the title of transaction threads. Forget to do that and your thread mysteriously goes away.

SN, i agree that if big gov wants to trail you, you might as well enjoy it. But with privacy oriented OSs and browsers, VPNs, MAC randomizers, changing your digital fingerprint regularly (or just leaving it at factory settings), and some self restraint, its really pretty painless to keep your personal life personal. Of course what you post on a login site like this one is visible forever so ther

Cal, again, they are trying to collect tax on things that are not taxable. Taxable items vary by state and sometimes even locale as ii am sure you know.
As to Paypal, that is completely different. Paypal is backed by a credit card where you have federal protections re disputes, ebay wants complete access to your bank account. ie, the right to withdraw money directly from you. With Paypal, i ha

They lost a lot of smaller sellers not long ago when they demanded access to sellers' bank accounts to be able to sell. I know several long time sellers who dropped off ebay when that happened.
I personally quit on them when they started charging 'tax' on everything. Yes, i know about the new law/agreement, but they demanded a 'tax' on a collectible coin purchase from

Dont forget to factor in money into the equation. Not everyone can afford a 'top of the line' machine to enter the hobby. A person with a litter of kids and working lots of OT to pay for them probably needs to stay in the lower price range and work his way up.
I must say that i didnt pay for all my machines; i just fronted them the money until they paid for themselves.

Historically, the price of bread continues to climb as well. You can talk about real estate, gold, bread, or anything else without relating it to a myriad of other factors. Which is waaaay beyond my ability/interest in typing.

No surprise that a company hypes any new product line that it markets. I always considered the Equinox was built to compete with the ATP, not to outhunt the more expensive machines.
