Rutus - 7 months ago
I have been looking at comparing the deus the legend the nox 900 and the manticore. It seems they all are close to finding targets in tests gardens and out in the field. I’m not sold on
Moving on from the legend with the new update coming. The rutus it seems all the reviews on YouTube and there are not
Many are all in another language. So does anyone have one? Any good links to English reviews.

So I'm thinking and I mean thinking about tossing me legend well maybe keeping it as a backup. I only relic hunt in somewhat mild ground...There is the Rutus...have no idea the retail the Nox 900 the deus 2 and the new minelab. What is a hunter to do..this will be the last detector I'm going to use. I don't like big coils to hunt with.
Thanks

So, what makes the rutus better or just as good as the top of the line detectors. What is the base price. Wireless headphones single frequencies.

Re: Tom - 7 months ago
What about audio gain will that just amplify the deep target as iron? And the iron filter can that help with giving a deep target a better ID? You have to wonder if this new update that will go deeper will still see a dime as iron

Re: Tom - 7 months ago
Well that is not bad depth but one can only wonder how many targets are even 9 inches? Also I would think all metal mode may help in m1 but of course I would be digging a lot of iron. But you are saying that the minelab nox 900 can go as deep as 14” on a dime with out an iron ID and also their new machine. It would be interesting to hear from your forum what their results are in non sterile groun

Re: Tom - 7 months ago
So you are saying in layman terms that the single frequency of 4 is deeper than the frequencies being used on the setting of M1 in field mode? The frequency’s being used in M1 are three and are being used for finding silver, copper and brass! Would you be losing some depth using M1 but have a better chance at finding silver, copper and brass. Do you feel Tom, that using the single frequency of 4

Re: Tom - 7 months ago
I know Tom posted what he found that kept the legend from being a legend. I think Tom spoke to the company about it but nothing was done. Maybe for the price the legend is selling for it would raise the price and that was not part of their marketing. Could it be achieved with a software update? Tom has stated what he feels are the best on the market today. Maybe what Tom feels makes a detector a

Tom have you heard of beast mode coming on the legend? Don’t know if this is a hoax or the company took your advise on what could make then legend a better detector.

When you say Tom recovery speed is high, do you mean setting a faster recovery in iron. And have you tested the iron filter in heavy iron with the recovery at setting that slows it to see targets mixed in with iron. What are your thoughts about the Nox 900, deus 2 and the other multi from minelab

I am glad I picked a topic that got some interest. Tom had mentioned two multi frequency machines that he feels works the best.
I come from a long line of detectors that span over 20 plus years, including Toms Cz3. I was a tester for the impact and really liked that detector. After the deus and beating cancer, I returned to detecting and got the legend. Not convinced it was the best choice. Mos

That was a great explanation the only other
question that remains is what units out there are worthy of using multi frequencies? Of course we want depth also!

How many have found using more than one frequency at a time is deeper or less deep that using one?
I’m talking about detectors that are multi but also allow you to use one at a time. Do multi frequencies go as deep. I know on the legend M1 is used for high conductors like silver, brass and copper. I would think most of the relics fall into this category. What’s your take? Is the deus 2 a multi f

What frequencies would you use? Or single frequency. I have a friend that lives in the desert and is going to hunt for gold nuggets and ghost towns
Would think he will run into lots of iron.

What would the Versa sell for and what makes it a better detector than the competition if there is any competition. The one thing I like on the legend is the iron filter...It has helped my find masked targets right on top of iron that I have hunted over many times but with the legend it did allow me to unmask nice relics and coins.

Keith! What are you hunting with now? And this rutus verse, is that on your wish list? How much and who may carrier it.
Just catching up on some of the different machines people are using. I like the iron filter on the legend. Been able to pull coins that the iron was masking.

The newest 1.11 update on the legend versus 1.09. Has anyone noticed a difference in depth? They added some new features
But they don’t interest me. Except M3 but not a game changer.
I see on this forum that maybe the legend is not huge used detector on this forum and I may be wrong because I just got a hold of one.
Is multi frequency all that it’s cracked up to be. I see the advantages but
