yes!..a "dry joint" is considered a "no solder" ,OR "poorly" soldered connection that "probably" broke, and created a "short"
to ground,OR an "open" circuit, and subsequent "loss" of continuity.

hi lowboy!
do you think the 8000 is separating targets in your ground as well as your f-75?
how about the depth?..roughly the same on coins?..much less (e.m.i) to deal with?
thanks!

yes you are correct!..you have to slow down your sweep to get the best separation.i don't have a 75 l.t.d
so no "bp" mode, however this also pertains to the 75 as well!..turning down "gain" is a solid tip because the detector
won't create confusion by responding to tiny "bits" of trash, allowing "better",more solid "hits" to be heard!

i'm a coin sniper lawrenzo!...lookin' for the "best" separation in the junk!
i see a real "need" for the 5,..so it's money well spent!....thanks!

great info!..anxious to hear about the 6' coil as well!
looks like i'm gonna have to "bite" for the 5"..i have used my 6" once or twice, and found it to separate well,
so was hoping to "get away" WITHOUT doing the 5"..beginning to look like i gotta "bite!"
thanks!

hi low boy!
have you used the 3X6" concentric coil for the f-75 in the trash?
if so,how did you find it to separate targets?..thanks"!

ok!..thanks tom!!..just wondering why (f.t) decided in their infinite wisdom
to market the 3x6" concentric FIRST,as opposed to the 5"dd! for the f-75!..,knowing
that the 5"dd has BETTER separation capabilities in extreme trash!..i honestly did not know
which one separated better, hence the question!..i'm after coins,so it is important to know!
regards!

thanks!..tom!..is it fair to say then, the "separation" of the 5" dd coil IS better than the
concentric when hunting for coins,or is the performance of both of them too close to call?

hot damn!..tom!..i was hoping you would say the concentric, because i already own that one!
instead of purchasing the f-75 l.t.d,maybe buying the 5" dd will be a fair compromise for coin hunting exclusively?
thanks!

tom!..,in your experience, which is the BETTER choice to use in high trash with the f-75,
the 6.5 concentric?.,OR the 5" dd?..thanks!

"perception" with these people is that money is the "all encompassing"
answer to 'life's" problems, hence.their "overwhelming" fascination with it
24/7!..nothing "new" there!..money is ALWAYS at the root of ALL that is evil!

it is my opinion, that indian was "masked",because "most" experienced hunters WOULD
DIG that target IF it indicated it was buried at the 5" level,REGARDLESS if the numbers showed "zinc"..in my opinion, one of the best features of modern detectors IS the depth meter, because ANYTHING found below the 3" level IS worth investigating!
