I believe we are going to be seeing several brand new units being released in 2017. The new AT Pro, the new Tesoro, new Fishers, and probably a new White's beach unit.

...did the new DST technology resolve the EMI issues the F75 and F75 Ltd. was having?
I understand that EMI varies from place to place, but I am getting mixed results on the forums.
Some say it has done an incredible job and they are hunting sites at higher sensitivities than they were able to hunt before, and some have responded with a "meh".
Opinions would be appreciated.

Tom currently calibrating my new CZ-3D also.
My guess is he hasn't been on the forums lately because he is very busy with other projects.
Perhaps beta testing a new Fisher detector?? Ah, the mind wonders....

I am glad the Turkish airport police responded so quickly. If the terrorists set off those bombs in more crowded areas, the deaths could have been far more numerous.

Slag, real sorry to hear about all your Makro frustrations. I am hoping you just got your hands on a bad unit. If this new unit doesn't work, I am sure you,ll be moving on. I used to speck hunt myself, and am saving up for GB2 to get back into it. While NASA Tom prefers the 6x10 coil,I personally found the 4x6 coil went deeper on smaller targets, which is consistent with Fishers testing resu

Tom, I was surprised by the Fisher website in that it did not list jewelry hunting as a recommended use of the F75 ltd. How do you feel it performs in this area?

I am trying to build a lightweight plastic sand scoop without holes that keep me from bending. I plan to have my sifter and dump the sand into it on the spot.
I saw one post who said that for 200 targets dug he found 5 keepers.
Does that sound about average?

I had to step away from metal detecting for nearly a year due to a back injury. I had bought a GB2 for micro jewelry hunting at the beach based on NASA Tom's article and video and later sold it before I could really use it due to the injury.
Just curious if anyone else is doing this with the GB2 and what your experiences were.
Thanks to all.

Great. Another single frequency waterproof detector. Let's compete in the market that is already saturated by the AT Pro.
What I wish Whites would do is revamp the beach hunter and give us a real dual/multi frequency beach detector that can compete with the Excalibur or the CZ21.
Put it in a smaller, lighter weight package and lose that ridiculous garbage can lid of a coil and they wou

Nothing wrong with buying now. It may just take you longer to realize a profit on your investment if that is your motiviation.
If not, go for it!

The bullion buyers are definitely driving this national market right now.
In Asia, especially China and India, they are buying gold jewelry heavily.

Over five years ago I was asked this question and I remember replying that if the economy did not collapse we would find ourselves in gold and silver bubble. If that proved true, gold would fall to $1,000 to $1,200 per ounce and stabilize there. I am not bragging myself up, just stating a fact.
If the economy takes another swan dive, which is possible but doubtful over the next twelve months,

Greetings.
Getting back into detecting again after some serious back pain this summer that has is finally getting under control (love modern medicine).
I have been shopping for a new metal detector. I have been looking at the Tesoro DeLeon, but I am giving the AT Pro and X-Terra 705 very serious consideration.
Here is my searching criteria:
I am a coin and jewelry hunter. I rarely hun

Well, so far no one I checked with seems to have DST edition of the F75 Ltd.
In fact, the sale rep I spoke to at Kellyco had no idea what I was talking about.
