The setting's i used were all of the disc setting's "in red" except for the sens which

The f-75 was just too much machine for me. I work in a manufacturing/fabrication plant here in MN which is hot, loud and NOISY, i detect, sometimes, just to get out and relax...and i just have to much interference in my neck of the woods for the 75 to be a quiet "get away", but mainly, i didnt like it because it was just too much for me to care to learn...but dang, what a friggin sweet

The president z.t. was most likely a gas station token...i forgot the one that did this, i believe it was citgo, but i can't remember...in the 1950's (a little b 4 i was born) they had tokens for all the presidents, and when u fill your tank up, you got one, and some people went only to citgo so they can eventually get the entire collection.
...Nice finds, my buddy had a 2500 that caug

ok...thanks, but I might need to even lower it more, due to a small electrical distraction.
My back yard is not that large, but I pulled out a few really nice old items with my Whites ID w/ Mr. Bill's modifications...the thing is, there has GOT to be lots more...i can't move a 1/2" without a signal in any given direction from any chosen location (within fenced area)...This would

you said this regarding a cz 3-d comparison...my question for you sir is....
In an iron laden back yard w/ many close to eachother targets...what settings do u tell a beginner on the f-75 to utilize and what tips, if you have some to share, would be utilized in this same scenario?

My wife had a prob w/ her Garrett when she first bought it...the customer service and response time and their offerings were all second to none...I hope i have no probs w/ my f-75 when i start using it soon (ground is starting to soften here, lotsa cooler rain lately)...but once again, the lady's name was Mary...wow...i wish every company in the USA had a CS rep like her and company policies

I'm jelous...the weather should be breaking soon here...by Labor day...kinda makes me sad, i can't stand the winters and I love to hunt the water...but...when it does break, and ground softens...I am gonna kick some gr-ass with the new 75.

I was testing the Halo theory once after finding silver dime at 5 inches w/ a great signal and then re digging it in another hole at 5 inches several feet away where i did not receive any other signal before burying it...I was using at the time a whites eagle spectrum...and I used the same program that I set for both coins...
The original signal was noticeably "stronger" and I believ

But even an instructional/manual video would be nice for the f-75...I decided to water hunt till the ground softens up a bit in september...glad i did...had a golden weekend...My pal "Tigey" found me 14K bird pendant, 3 silvers and a wedding band/engagement ring soldered together...both 14K white gold, one ring w/ 40 pt. se1 w/ a D color (originally thought 25 to 50 pts, had it checked

If by fatiguing, you mean from lots of digging small foil bits...etc...I will only use it on the sandy beaches of local lakes...if that's not what you mean, please alliterate.
I KNOW there are maaaany tiny diamond stud earrings unfound amongst our beaches and I want to hit these hard.
I am better at my f-75, but the ground will be too hard to dig for the next month or two...so i figure i

OK, Went to my friends house, but got their late so I literally only had 5 minutes to hunt.
Balance the 75 and went to work...but since I only had 5 minutes, I figured i would just hunt fast and try to find an area as quick as i could with promise...
This lawn is cleaned by quite a few other detectors (plus, we always remove all trash dug or visually seen) so I felt confident with my signals.

RE: Curious why your detector did not at least give you an 'iron' tone response.... unless the metal was truly a form of oxide.?
I don't know why Tom...I heard of silent masking and I believed that was what I witnessed...the iron wasn't rusted, i saw it threw the weeds, saw it was just garbage, grabbed my quarter and walked away....i just thought to myself as i walked away

Thanks, was going to get a gold bug Tom after I read one of your books/pamphlets, just wondering how the 75 would do, i air tested a d-stud w/ no signal, just wasn't sure...
The funny thing is how many people i see detecting the beach and nobody is micro detecting for diamond stud earrings...and w/ all the earrings i do find, there has got to be many d-studs out there.

I am new with my machine...and I need some more time to play somewhere else for my yard is for a well seasoned f-75 pro (bad)...s0...
I am asking...what settings could be used for micro gold...is it possible to score a small diamond stud earing on a freshwater sand beach with maybe a JE setting with low discrim and sens at a high setting? Or is the F-75 not too good w/ this.
Any takers on this

RE:Now who in the heck is going to convince Fisher to add a volume selector to the descim circuit or at least talk XP into selling their detectors in the U.S.!!!?? Someone!?
Maybe "Mr. Bill" can figure this one out so Fisher ownwers can take a chance on their warranty like White's detector owners can...kinda funny but, if he could (or anyone could) modify the F-75 to the speck

Hey Dan...best thing to do is run it on all metal...this way you get "both" signals, usually, i tried that on my ol' cz7apro (when i had it) and got me a 2 1/2 cent good for token next to some iron in a park where a school yard was in the 1800's...glad idug that hole!

I am the king of getting permission Tom...i even got permission to hunt State owned land at a water fall where tourists walk...lol!!!
i got permission to hunt a swimming area that the city wont let you hunt there (even though theres no law against it)..
I used to have permission forms, like u said, to formal, i used to drop notes in peoples mail boxes w/ over grown lawns telling them i will

Tom,
I was able to be one of those people who was able to witness SILENT MASKING.
i was at a boyscout camp i have an open invite to hunt...brought two buddies and my cz7apro...
Now we all do what i am about to say: I dropped a quarter on the ground before I began hunting just to hear the tone...i made it a "toughy" by dropping it in tall weeds...Well, you guessed it...NO SIGNAL..WTF

OK...My findings:
DO NOT use this machine in high iron and/or areas on your first few hunts.
The F75 is not very sensitive, it is EXTREMELY sensitive.
If you want instant gratification, go elsewhere...if you want a pain in the butt that will turn in to one of your best friends...F-75, but not over night.
I need to take this machine to a friends yard where the dirt is soft, mid depth tar

I'll give it a try...remember, this is just one lawn we are talking about too...
I am bringing it to an older park tomorrow that's been hunted strongly since the 70/80's up to today. Hardly any iron or electrical interference if any, just maybe an over abundance of small tiny tinfoil pieces chopped by the mower.
It does still happen, but it's rare for an oldy to pop up th

Without reading the owners manual, and never had using one, this is my opinion:
My yard is hell w/ iron and wires in the air...very chattery...and my problem is that digging a coin at a listed depth of 14" w/ no probe (sold it, getting new one hopefully soon)...the task told me to wait on that dig.
This machine's response is fast as lighting, almost not figuratively speaking...tha

My back yard is laiden w/ nails/screws...more then a friggin nail factory's yard would be...
...i used my Whites and Garrett's on it, got what I could (some nice trinkets did come out, but i know there should be more)...
...so what i did was (since next yr we are sodding it) i dug large holes wherever i did receive an iron signal, dug all out then re detected it...found a few more, bu
