Currently I have 4 machines (used to be 5) with 2 to 4 coils each, and no favorite among them. All to try and eke out a few more finds and that I feel is where a lot of us are today, too many machines and a multitude of coils.
The Deus, Etrac and CTX were not in my sights because I felt the price to performance ratio did not justify. Notka/Makro has some good machines but they did not fit m

Thanks for the fair and honest report Tom. The Nox actually did better than I had expected when pitted against an experienced Explorer user such as yourself.

I find it surprising that the user profile is not independent from global and semi global changes. Really? how was that missed?
Definitely would have liked a 3 tone option. Was bummed from day one that it wasn't included. I plan to make use of the tone options to get around that.
ID resolution is more than sufficient, better than the X-Terra 705 which in itself is good enough for my purpo

How can I put it an be PC..naw forgot that, I have never had my head buried in the BBS/FBS sand. Iron disc and 1 or 2 tones for me. Don't want or care to make it sound or act like anything other than what it is.

They got it (mostly) wrong. Someone didn't proof read it. While it's possible large high kt gold rings such as 20-24K pure can read penny those are very few and far between. Like 1 in a hundred in my experience.
