I have 2 Equinox 800's coming and just waiting for the prices of the 6 and 15 inch coils so I can order those to. Also have my CTX 3030 which I won't give up. It's my silver killer.

What if he had used a 6 inch coil on the Equinox instead of a 11 inch coil to compare to the CZ with 5 inch coil. It just amazes me that he found that many coins with a 11 inch coil in areas that have been hit hard by lots of other detectors.

Thanks everyone for your opinion. Can't wait to hear all the reports when they come in of guys using the Equinox. I have one on order plus the 6 inch coil and pin pointer. I am a deus and CTX user so this should be interesting. Hope it is a pleasant surprise for everyone.

What is everyone’s opinion on how the Equinox with the 6 inch coil will do against the deus with 9 inch standard or HF coil or even elliptical HF coil in trash or iron? If the Equinox is supposed to have just as fast a recovery speed as the deus wouldn’t the 6 inch coil be a plus. Thanks

I know a lot of hunters are excited about the Equinox. In a way I am to. Just wondering if it will be faster and separate as good or better than my deus and go as deep and have great ID at depth like my CTX. I also wonder what the 6 inch round coil on the Equinox will be able to do in trash and iron sites and what kind of depth it will be able to get. Will I still need my CTX and Deus for my kind

Just talked to Heath Jones of Treasure Mountain detectors. He said they have some of the 9.5 hf elliptical coils in stock. Update: Sorry guys. Heath just sent me a message. His distributor just informed him they are out now to. They are hoping by Sept.

A recent article by Andy Sabisch on using the HF coil vs standard coil. Just wish he had tried the 54 kHz instead of 14 kHz and 28 kHz. But the main thing is he did see a difference from using the HF coil vs standard coil. Here is his test.
Well what about the new HF coils? Like most, I felt that they were primarily designed for prospecting applications and since there are not a lot of gol

X2000 I'm not taking it personally. I do understand what you are saying. The information that I am putting out here is coming from Ed Huffman that consider himself to be a expert with the deus and many other brands of detectors. I a sure you he has used both standard and HF coils and has done every test possible. He is my go to guy when having questions to do with the deus or any detector I

Weather you want to believe that the hf 9 inch coil in 54 khz can hit targets that the standard coil can not is totally up to you. I for one have seen what this new hf coil can do. I have had 2 deus's and have hunted many sites with the standard 9 inch coil. I have hit these sites hard to the point that finds were few. As soon as I started hunting with the hf coil my finds went through the r

The reason I ask is Ed Huffman sold me a 9 inch round HF coil and I have taken it to 5 of my sites that I have hit hard with the 9 inch standard deus coil. I have been pulling coins and buttons and even gold rings from theses sites. I have been using Gary's hot program and running it in 54 kHz. Ed told me that I was going to be blown away at what I find that the standard deus coil missed. An

Has anyone tried out the new deus 9 inch hf coil? How does it compare to the standard 9 inch coil? Has anyone tried hunting for coins using 54 kHz in trash and iron sites?

I can't speak for the Deus but I can speak about iron falsing: CTX vs Impact.
Beyonder-Pa
I have the CTX. What I want to know is the Impact better at Iding good targets in the trash and iron than the deus? Does the Impact ID deep iron better than the Deus? I am a old coin hunter at heart. Do you get a better audio ID with the Impact than the Deus? I just recently purchased a new Deus.

Now that a lot of the Deus users have had a chance to use the Impact what do you think? Is the Impact better at sniffing out silver coins in all the trash and iron? What about iron falsing compared to the deus. Wanting a detector to compliment the CTX. Thanks
