TomD,
What can the F2 settings "take care of" that the original FE 0-9 couldn't? I am missing something here.... You mention to keep iron bias at zero so non-ferrous is not missed.
Now you indicate for Equinox 800 owners to adjust to F2 level 4. Won't this "mask" non-ferrous next to ferrous or are the F2 settings a whole different set of parameters ? Thank you f

Hi Paul,
Thank you.
Yes its a huge grassy field. I just wish they would cut the field more often to keep the vegetation short.

Congratulations EPL II,
These are terrific finds, especially breaking into the 1700 era!
Are these from a park like grassy terrain area? If they are, truly outstanding finds

Hi Ken,
Surprisingly, The coins were only 3" - 7" . (One of the coppers may have been knocking on the door of 8") I am noticing a trend with the Equinox and that is finding targets many others missed and they aren't all that deep.

Knowing I have high mineralization here in CT, I didn't think that a lower recovery speed would work well....
I had been running 6-8 in recovery speed along with a variable iron bias between 1-3. Since I have change my settings to the following:
Park1
Ground Balance
All-metal mode
Always used 50 tones since day 1
Sensitivity 23-24, (I had mainly been running up to 20 sometimes

Glad to hear calabash!
They took super good care of me too when my headphones crapped out. In about the same time as you I had my new set. Thanks Minelab!

NASA Tom, wow! Thank you for "boiling this down" for me. I would like to share a couple of experiences I have had utilizing fast recovery speeds. I live in CT and just about everywhere I hunt is high mineralization. I'll try to keep this short...I hunted this little patch of grass (5 feet wide x 15 feet long) several dozen times and never found one old coin utilizing recovery spee

No sir. I have never encountered a Copper Snake. Man that sucker was "camping out" right next to you. Glad the snake decided to go in the opposite direction. Keep up the great videos and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Tom,
Is there something in the works that you know of?

Thank you for the suggestion and for helping me understand if this was possible.

This is a very interesting thread - thank you for sharing. I am not well versed in electronics but I do have a question concerning "noise cancelling"
On my Equinox, I can AUTO noise cancel and get a different number each and every time I use the function. (I can push the button 5 times and get five different numbers that the machine settles on) Is EMI / silent EMI causing it to c

Whites Coinmaster 6 / DB. Two of the first coins I found with it (same hole) was an 1898 Barber Quarter and a 1945 silver nickel. Needless to say I was hooked lol

That is impressive with the size of the iron that came out of that hole. I can say the AT Pro is light in weight and deadly with the 5x8" coil on it. Not super deep with this combo but I can get a good 7" deep on a dime in my soil.

KittyScreamMachine?? I want to say back in one of your posts you referred to the Sovereign (hitting on high conductors) as a kitty cat screaming? lol

X2 Trying to figure this out as well. Lots of good info here on Mr. Dankowski's website however the initial post is ludicrous. TN, If you have this much free time, go help someone in need. Volunteer at a soup kitchen or assist at your local homeless shelter and/ or lend a few nice words to someone down on their luck or take your lawn mower (and if you don't have one, go purchase one) pl

Thank you Des. Miller Lite sounds good right now. 97 degrees in the shade with 55% humidity. This is uncomfortable for me. However I know someone in the great State of Georgia that doesn't mind the heat as much and likes the aroma therapy from the hot pinestraw LOL (sorry Keith. However you gave me a good chuckle)
Funny how over time, the body slowly acclimates to heat or cold. Being in

That's funny Grant. The real funny part is that I have an E800. However, I still like the AT Pro with the 5x8 for woods hunting. This little combo has netted me some of my best finds in my long career of detecting.

Mr. Jim,
Yes, this is using the Garrett 5x8" coil. Also, I didn't realize the NEL Sharpshooter provided that much of a depth difference!
Thanks for the info.

I am not an electronics technician / engineer by any means and curious if there is a way? I specifically love the AT Pro and 5x8" coil (especially for my deep woods hunting adventures) and would love to get another couple inches out of this setup. Any info is greatly appreciated.
