I won't rule out the "being at my peak" logic. It has merit as far as I am concerned. But it has been so noticeable that it caused me to "home in on it" and take notice. But that in itself may cause the results to be biased. I may be "looking for it to happen a certain way and therefore I only notice results that support my theory". But then....I really doubt t

I found this at a worked over Union campsite. This is where some of the soldiers camped days before the Battle of Shiloh. Seem like I have seen this type button before and it was ID'd as a Union CW era button but I can't be sure. For you CW buffs........what say you????

Maybe I'm crazier than just crazy. But I can carry my Deus to the site that I am currently hammering in the morning and not get near the signals as I get in the late evening (using the same settings). I know that it sounds queer, but I have noticed this over the last couple of weeks. And I am talking about the same spot at aforementioned site. Or rather, the same 20 by 20 foot area that has

Way to go Keith!!!! You have some hot spots to hunt!!!!! I envy you! But in a good way. You also have a good working knowledge of the XP Deus. And it shows with your finds. Congrats.

7Congratulations Keith!!!! That is a great strategy!!! The "head of the spring" should be a great spot since water was needed. That is an awesome pocketful of Civil War bullets. Great job with the Deus.

Thanks Keith!!! You have been very helpful. Yes, already this unit has opened up sites that I had declared as hunted out. It's for real!!!! This unit will make a believer out of a skeptic. I already know THAT much about it.I have been hunting with it almost exclusively since I bought it. And it has found me some good finds in those sites that I had just quit going to. This unit hits on a

I think that I follow what you are saying. I borrowed the concept of setting the first two tones at 202 khz....so that I can run in zero disc. Let me ask ya something, in nail ridden sites, when looking for mainly relics and the occasional coin do you use three tones or four. And the next question: would I be just as well off to run, say, in Program two (GM Power ?) and then just tweak IT'

I'm about 15 minutes away for going and trying the new program I created using some of your info Keith!! You are SO right. It is like trying this homesite with a rand new detector. Here's my prgram if I can rememer it:
DISC: 0
4 Tones. Tone 1 &2 are ar 202 khz. Tone 3 at 590, Tone 4 at 790 or thereabouts
Tone 1 and 2 from 0 to 44.....Midtone starts at 45 and goes to 70....Hi T

The AT Pro hits the button better but JUST the button. The Deus hits the bullets including the deeper ones, and also a silver dime at 10 inches that the AT Pro won't touch. Mineralized dirt: I have been telling everyone that I am in mineralized dirt. I live in West Tennessee and the dirt is red. I had a CZ3D that tom was getting 12.2 inches with a dime in his dirt (non - mineralised) but

Keith, I was really hoping that you would see this thread and post in it.....especially since your videos partially influenced me to nuy this unit. And let me tell ya friend, I have NO regrets. I have owned all the top of the line VLF's and the Deus has TRULY MADE old sites like new again. I can already see a couple of things that I need to do,....one is to swing slower and don't worr

I have a three ringer buried at 7 inches, one at 8 inches, and one at 9 inches, and one at 10. I have a coat-sized Union Eagle I button buried at 7.5 inches. My Deus, which by the way I like better than any detector that I have had due to it's separation ability, hit's on the big 58 cal bullets fairly good depending on the settings. If I back away from each bullet and walk towards it

I hit a beautiful signal yesterday and it was giving the exact TDI of a silver quarter. It was giving every indication that silver was beneath the coil! I layed my detector down, and started digging a plug with my shovel. Much to my aggravation, I discovered that a hard packed gravel driveway was under the first inch of sod and I about broke my leg when I stomped down on the shovel thinking that

Great news Daniel!!! I cannot wait until you can go hunting! I'm sure that you are more eager than me, but I love to read your reports. They are no non-sense and no-hype. The only thing I like better than your reports, are your videos. Make 'em longer though. LOL Congrats on the new Blisstool. It sounds like your search for a unit that works in the red dirt has finely come to an end.

I really do like the Deus's wireless set up. I detect old homesites in woods and the undergrowth catching the cable is no longer a problem. But I like wireless even out in a field. I am not tethered to my detector while I'm digging in hard ground. Plus, the Deus headphones don't make my head sweat at all like my Garrett headphones do. Plus, I like to hear if someone is sneaking up

Thanks Keith. That is some great info right there! I am headed out to my test garden with my deus. I am gonna TRY some different silencer settings and see what happens. It sounds like you have learned that Deus!!!

No, I'm not brand loyal. Why? It would seriously handicap me. Whoever makes the best unmasking detector gets my money. Depth is not as much my adversary as is square nails. The unit that pulls non-ferrous items from the iron gets my debit card: number, expiration date, and three little digits on the back.

Yes, Lawrenzo, me too. I'd like to see them come up with something that will pierce through mineralized dirt, and have a reactivity at least as quick as the Deus. I have owned two G2's, an Omega, two F75Se's, a T2SE, and they all worked great for me. I mean I worked over some sites with those units until there wasn't another non-ferrous signal to be heard no matter how slow or

Yeah, the wireless part of the Deus is not what drew me too it. It was it's ability to unmask. The re-charging of three components (coil, headphones, little box) is kind of aggravating, but not much. I will say this. After using the Deus for a couple of hours on a particular day, I durn sure will give it a full charge before going out again because I might stay out for a few hours and I do

Oh I make sure to keep the water with me. I drink 6 to 8 bottles a day even in the winter. I just have the notion in my head that it keeps me flushed out therefore is healthy for me, But when I go detecting I'll carry several bottles of Ozarka brand bottled water. I was a Dasani man, then I got on Nestle Pure Life, then I tried Ozarka and liked it. I keep a full bottole in my nail apron (sc

Wow. I may just stick to my old sites. Ans the ground begins hardening like Daniel was talking about shortly after a rain. It takes an all day soaker to soften the ground. A Predator Raven shovel has been about working me to death!!! I have to jump up and come down with both feet on it. And if it happens to be a big oak root, it hurts. Crap, I don't know why I am being so negative today
