I went out Saturday morning at 7:30am Central time and my shirt was wet by 8:30 am!!!! And stayed that way until 10:45 am when I called it quits. And I was hunting mostly shade. I knew that this time would come. Early mornings and late afternoons are tolerable for a while.
But I am giving thought to taking the AT Pro into the water like I have seen on youtube. I'll need waterpoof headp

Thanks Keith, for the info on the button. The more I know, the better. I could not find any backmark. The AT Pro sounded off good on it. I don't remember the TDI. But I have a Eagle I (Union) buried at 7.5 inches. The AT Pro hit on it much better than my Deus. That why I am hunting this site with both detectors. The Deus just gives an iron sound over the button in my test garden unless I c

I am assuming that the loop shank was made of steel wire but not sure. I found the button amongst some nails and debris. Nut i would think that the shank part is steel from the pic. But the back is b

Man, am I loving it. I forgot to charge my Deus last nite so I grabbed my AT Pro this evening. I spent all morning on a Husky zero turn mower cutting weeds down to where I could hunt a promising area that I obtained permission to hunt. I found a wheat penny and shortly after found this button!!! The old AT Pro has still got it!

Decided to rty a different site today. I had to drive about 20 miles away to get to it but I had found 5 Indian Head cents there, including a Fattie. A 1962 Indian Head. It is my next oldest coin. This half dime is my oldest. Just proud of it and had to post it. Found a silver Rosie (1962) yesterday and a silver half dime today.

Same here Goodmore. The Deus has renewed my enjoyment by giving new life to those hunted out sites. I mean, it REALLY does that!!! I still like my AT pro with stock coil and small coil. But I must admit, it has been staying at home lately. As a side note, and pertaining to TDI numbers and tones, I couldn't tell ya what the number was over that dime today. It dawned on me when I was trying

Okay this wouldn't be so big if it came from a new site. But I hunted yesterday and today for a total of 4 hours (approx) in the site that I have mentioned on this forum so much. Just a complete blanket of square nails PLUS the litter that accumulated over the years since the old home stood. (you ought to see the bottle dump at the bottom of the hill that the occupants of the old house had

One of my homemade programs uses zero disc and three tones. I also have a two tone and zero disc program. It hits my 9.5 inch buried merc dime hard!!! I can even raise the coil off the ground and inch. By the way, I borrowed the settings that enabled me to use zero disc from other folks who posts their settings.
As a side note: on some targets, I get a bit cleaner signal if I pull the coil off

I am totally new to the Blisstool type of machine. I'll tell ya one thing: the videos have been very impressive and I don't think that any of the videos had any skullduggery involved with them. But how about hunting among moderate trash. I don't mean a carpet of nails. But can slaw, and other modern trash one might find at old school lots where the coins are deep. Are there mo

Do they do mail order or internet orders? Not that I actually have need of a Blisstool right now......it would be comforting to know that they will be within arms reach.

Y'all know by now that I am a newbie but I need to ask: what is a "big box unit"??? My Deus came in one of the smallest boxes that I have ever seen fit inside a cardboard box. And it was flat, too. I though that maybe they forgot to ship half of it to me at first! LOL

I need to study more. I didn't realize that the XP Deus was designed to program with the little square unit.....switch it off....and start hunting using only the headphones. But it makes perfect sense I guess. I mean, the head phones are powered and somewhat programable.
I have some head phones in my car with the 1/8th inch jack for using with the Deus but I always use the Deus headph

I have been hunting ALOT with the Deus. The digitial ID is just almost useless TO ME!!! I know that I'm a newbie. I need not be reminded. But I am use to swing the Teknetics G2 which gave reliable TID numbers. I mean.....YOU KNEW when you had a bullet or a CW button. Same with the F75SE. And the AT Pro. The other day, when I found that Martingale, I dug a piece of can slaw about 7 or 8 inch

Same thing in my home town. I lucked up and found a very small yard that had the original contour . Houses all around are setting lower and leveler with the highway (64) that runs through town. But in this old yard that I found, you had to look down at the roadway. I was very fortunate that it was part of a CW Campsite complete with coat buttons, cuff buttons, bullets, balls, pocketknife (or old

It's just a small thing, and has nothing to do with actual performance, I don't reckon, but man I'm glad that it doesn't have the good ol foam wrap handle that gets dirty quickly unless you wrap it with elecrical tape.

We had had a decent rain the nite before. The ground was bit softer than it has been. One of the good things about the Deus is the fact that it doesn't seem to report every speck of iron, even in zero disc, so I was seeing the damp ground as being a plus. But still, you make a good point. I doubt that I'll find anything so spectacular as the Martingale, but I plan on digging more than

Well, maybe they will start cutting the hay soon. There's a skirmish site where I need the farmer to do the same thing. Luckily, the Martingale site is an old homeplace that more or less stays mowed. The owner, who also owns a used car lot, lets his mechanics park old junkers up at this spot. My mother/father used to own this site and the house that is on it and it is where daddy had his pra
