NASA-Tom,
Forgive me if this has been covered before but it seems that the current discussion is with cellphones producing EMI and silent EMI. My question is "Do you get the same EMI and silent EMI from an Apple Watch"? I have never noticed any EMI from mine but never thought about the silent EMI. I receive calls on mine at times on the beach with my Equinox. It seems not to both

We had a sister plant on S Mendenhall Rd in Memphis and they required the same reading for all of management back in the 1970's.

Steve,
Did you and Mike (I am assuming you were hunting with Mike) happen to switch detectors or just listen on each others headphones? That would have eliminated any swing speed scenario. My best guess is all down to coil control. Level, smooth, slow, very controlled 360 degree swing.
Now you will just have to get out again very soon and replicate the scenario. LOL
Later,

Thanks Steve for posting this link. I think it is interesting to see the general public's viewpoint of a CR (catch and release), in this case a an heirloom wedding ring. What is really cool is how my detecting family (you all being a part of it), embraces the return to it's owner and how good you feel to see this happen. And "yes" I did receive a "reward", actuall

Excuse any misspellings or missing words here and there. My wife NOW understands why I own multiple detectors and why some are better than others depending on conditions and intended targets.

Look this one up in your Redbook. Even in dug condition, this one is in better condition than 95% of the approximately 200 known to still exist. I dug it on Jan 4, 2003 on private land with the land owners permission. It was found with a CZ70 Pro. Which in it's day was a top of the line, high end detector. That detector and several more top of the line detectors, have been paid for in

Deus - Stock Backphones (gotta keep it light weight all the way)
These are the headphones that sound the best to my ears on each of these machines. I have tried other combinations but with my hearing and these detectors, these are my go

Chain hook off of a single tree or double tree. A single tree was used when hitching up a single horse. A double tree was used when hitching up a team of horses.

Tried it with sensitivity do to 0. Still no GB. Manual down to 0 and coil machine gunning all the way.

I bought myself an early Christmas present which was a NEL Tornado coil and was going to try it out yesterday evening after work. But I couldn't get it to ground balance. I switched to the stock 11 inch and it Ground Balanced ok. So I PMed Keith Southern as he has had the Tornado in the past and ask him if there was something I was doing wrong. He had me recheck that they had sent me the cor

What, no one going to mention landscaping? Fill dirt? The caterpillar? In the Midwest (Grapes of Wrath area), great dust storms could bury a coin 5 feet deep in hours. It could also uncover a coin blowing the ground on top of it away. Again, way too many variables for different locations. Everyone has mentioned so many of them and yet we could probably add dozens more to the list.

Joe,
I think what is misleading is the saying 85-90 without explaining that this is a different scale than the TID scale. It is referring to ground balance scale and not Identification scale. They just added the ability to notch or not to notch out this range on the ground balance adjustment. The 85-90 was notched out on previous versions and they just added the ability to add or reject thi

Congrats on #8. Good luck with the Deus on the CW relics in Virginia. It will be a change from beach hunting for sure.

Steveg,
95% of my digging decisions are made by audio, 5% by VDI. Call me old fashion but if it doesn't sound right, it usually isn't. VDI is good for poor hearing and training but when the rubber meets the road, it's the audio that digs the goodies. IMHO.
