I had the Tesoro Shadow X2 which is about the same as the Cutlass umax. They run incredible smooth. The single tone talks to you. You can easily tell a non-ferrous hits from a coin. Coin hits are very smooth. It runs thru iron quiet. It will hit on iron relics that I like to dig.
Depth on a dime with 8" coil is 7" to 8" in mild ground.

I used to get rolls of half dollars at the bank and would go thru them. I found a few silver Kennedy and quite few silver clad. Didn't get any Walkers or Franklins. That's the only rolls I went thru.

I had that happen where was someone wasn't happy with a Tesoro I sent him and we just traded back.
Sounds a little suspicious. You need to check the Explorer II first to see if it's in the same condition as when you sent, before you send the Sovereign back.

Pinpoint the target. If it's right on the hit, dig it. If the pinpoint is off to the side, don't dig.
That worked with the CZ5. If the pinpoint was off to the side it was iron. I dug a few one way hits that were IH pennies that pinpointed right on.
I assume it would work with the Manticore too.
