I just got the NEL Snake coil--3-1/2 x 6-- for the F-19 and it picked up nonferrous in the iron better than the Fors Gold with the 5" OOR coil--went over the area after the F-19 w/5" and the Fors, and found 2x the small old brass & copper mining-smelting debris, including a 1/2" deer button with stars around the circular edge. That was only one time, one place--didn't find

Lawrenzo, To me it doesn't look like 3.2, but 32. The 'point' looks like a surface blemish in the melted button. It's hard to tell how large it is.
Have you weighed it on an ounce scale? It doesn't look large enough by the looks of the stamped letters to be 32 pennyweights(dwt's), but could be--the yeller doesn't take up much space!

Bravo Nokta!!! That's what I call a response!!! Can we get one direct or does it have to come from Florida?
Hey Lawrenzo, basically I'll be using the Fors Gold to chase gold in my area of N Nevada. I've only been out 2x's with it and it really has a language,
I agree that its language is much clearer than the F-19.in a junky mining camp site--very clear--says what eve

Hello Nokta Fors Users, I've been reading all the great reports about the Racer 5" x 10" coil and seeing the results on Lawrenzo's terrific video.
So I sent Nokta a PM from this forum requesting a 5" x 10" for the Fors, and was answered quickly by Dilek saying that she would see if
that could be done. Perhaps if a few more users contacted Nokta

Bflo,
I read on a Findmall post by Tom Slick that the F75 3x6 coil on the F-19 would separate very well but wouldn't go deep. so I decided to try it at an abandoned trailer court that was just bulldozed. I never found much there before it was dozed and used all kinds of detectors. The Discovery Baron with the Pro Hunter module seemed to eke out the most non-ferrous small stuff, mostly smal

Hey Paul, The reports on the Fors gold have been great, so I'm curious why you've sold it. Is it redundant for you--that you have another machine that will do its job?
Thanks, Joel

And it hits really hard on coins, picks up very small stuff with the 10" concentric & DD coils, and uses all the Tek frat brothers & GBPro/ G2 coils. A Great Value! Get It!

From my read, if you purchased the detector from an authorized dealer, you can get the upgrade. If you don't have the paperwork for the purchase, then you can't buy the extended warranty. So I have to remember who I bought it from a couple years ago--I did send it back to Fisher once and told them I bought it from the dealer and they fixed it and shipped it back for free. Great Service!

Paul, You sure know how to find the juiceiest of sites! I'm curious to know what you think of the Vista Gold in a site like this, ;haven't seen your comments on this detector for awhile. So mebbe the GMP has outshone it? Or the DTVG just mimics the GMP? I've seen some pretty interesting finds posted with folks using the Gold. I have the GMP for the trashy mining camp sites out her

Hi Keith, You mentioned that you wouldn't have gotten a clear signal on the brass item in your GMP-5"NEL video if you had the sensitivity cranked up all the way. Do you think that keeping the sense at 1/2, or less than maximum, carries over to unmasking with other detectors such as the F75 or GBPro? Thanks for your great curiosity, Joel

Hi Paul, I got a used GMP about a year ago from Kevin at Staffordshire Detectors(website) and as of last nite he had 2 on his site--all good used detectors. He's a great guy to deal with and the machine got here very quickly in an unbelievably small box. I find, like Keith, that the sensitivity is quite enhanced by the NEL 5" Sharp Coil, And it will be interesting to know from you how

Spoke to Ron at www.goldiggermetaldetectors.com about getting the 5" Sharp coil for the GMP. Since he handles NEL coils--just got a Sharpshooter from him for my newly certified by Tom D F75. Snow is preventing trying it out. Ron says a few people have already ordered the 5" GMP coil and that he hopes to have some after Xmas. He's taking individual orders, so folks can get one in t

A great website for gold specimens and some nuggets is Northernnevadagold.com. Most of their gold has been found with detectors and they say which Nevada mining district it's from and sometimes which detector is used. They are now advertising in the ICMJ(International California Mining Journal) where Steve Herschbach often has articles. Specimens to drool over!
