I think judging someone by years detected isn't a terrible way to gauge their experience. Not sure there is an easier way to really judge it unless we have time to explain our experience. But yea, someone with 1 year experience can know a lot more than someone with 10. But the year marker is helpful. There are so many variables that go into it though for example, my experience:

Any suggestions for anything close to this? I currently have a White's DF. I would get a TDI but they aren't waterproof and I mostly only use the PI in the water because our east coast beaches are pretty trashy. I have a CZ21 for the beach/sand.

Do not touch a hot machine!!!
From what I remember reading you can only get the CZ20/21 worked on at fisher and its a process because they need to take it all apart to do anything.

QuoteA video was just posted of a group that found a silver cache of 3500 oz.
I think if any of us found that we would be posting pics, the video, and jumping up and down. I cant really blame someone for showing off a find like that. In fact, I love seeing/hearing stories about those finds. Its inspiring even though I probably won't ever find something like that but it helps add to my

Have any new machines comes out this year (or has technology progressed over the last year) that allows any machines to see tiny gold (ie chains) on salt water beaches? I haven't been paying attention since last summer so I figure I could of missed something. I currently have a CZ21 and Whites DF. I was considering a TDI but since its not waterproof decided against it and am keeping my curre

I would define clean as what I dug today - in 1.5 hours I had maybe 10 hits - 1 was a pop top, 2 were quarters, and the rest were iron so I didnt dig...man my beaches are really sanded in right now

The biggest problem with the show is that the guys are really bad at faking excitement. Everytime they find something they act so fake its a turnoff. The show has the potential to be as good as american pickers, however, the guys are too fake and they don't really spend enough time going through all of the history and such. Its a good idea but I think there are quite a few problems (ie editi

1. Digging on private property without asking
2. not filling holes/making a mess
3. At the beach - detecting during peak hours around people. I guess this would go for parks/crowded places too
4. Not being nice to people when they ask questions
5. telling people you are looking for wedding rings
6. putting bad targets back in the ground

I have the gorpro silver 4. Its awesome. The standard battery lasts about 1.5 hours on 720p video. While their are competitors gopro is kinda the main brand so all of the companies making attachments and such are mostly for gopro. They even have a new cam coming out that is even smaller. I got an attachment package on amazon for like $20 that had a chest mount, head mount, and pretty much any mou

So much could be done with the TDI. To start make it waterproof. That technology that they have could be used to create the ultimate beach machine.
