this is very true!..must understand their way of thinking on this...they ARE right ,it truly doesn't affect them,
because in the final analysis.they are "insulated" from it by virtue of a "secure" lifestyle within the system,so
therefore, they can afford not to care and all the "establishment pricks" know this. apathy is a formidable
friend when attempting to do what they want politically, and no one stands in their way i.e.: by passing congress.
basically trashing the constitution..this f**ked up attitude HAS to change.another reason WHY trump needs to win!
flush 'em all down the sh**ter, clean house, and start fresh.if this doesn't come to pass,it's possible we may have a another
"revolution" in this country!..the silent majority,i.e.: (tax payers) are loud and proud, and big time "pissed off!"

By now....... it should be obvious...............,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.................... there is (at least) one large common denominator: Almost every single human wants what's best for the country (and world)....... as THE end-resultant.......... regardless of party-line. This is your 'take-away' ...... Never forget this.

((And each individual POSITIVELY thinks that they are irrefutably correct....... to an extreme passionate level)) Commendable!

((( Also,,,,,,,, many have been 'exposed'. and. Much has been 'exposed' . ))) "Thought-process" of other humans can be an eye-opener.

Individualized name-calling & threats is a bit barbaric (via high level of 'crude' ) ..... and admittance (public announcement of) "self-defeated" status. A form of 'last-resort' fight-or-flight....... usually because of this: "defeated" status. Has been 'cornered' .

We seem to enjoy a good reality show. Anyone content with the last 6 years dont need to vote lol. Its been a bit of a "clown car" show on the Rep side so far. The Dems...... well cant take them real serious either. I dont consider this apathy as much as concern...... no one seems real presidential. But ...... i do believe more wants a lean toward capitalism this time around than socialism. We want.... no need.... the jobs for future generations .... especially for the ME ME ME generation. I notice even Wally world is closing some stores. The Fed government just keeps growing and sucking or giving aways money..... our money. Someone needs to get a handle on spending and take a careful look at all these agencies.... that keep growing but obviously have so much fraud they bleed money.

As I've stated I am Cruz supporter and believe he is what's best for the country.
But if Trump is winning then the GOP should be there and support him, winner wins.
But the mega rich corporations are the GOP/Dem leaders and they are getting richer by the second with
a insider president that could careless about all the manufacturing jobs going overseas.
The mega rich corporations/political party leaders I.e GOP &Dems do not want an outsider in office as they
no longer control the government/policies on foreign trade. You can't get more inside than Hillary.

At the risk of destroying the party/GOP they're showing their obvious motives and lack of care for what the voter wants.
Things are going on right now that I would have never believed would happen. Our current prez.gets his morning briefings via text, says he doesn't need to
meet his advisors for morning briefings because of modern technology that Bush had also yet he was there every morning for briefings.
Obama address the people via talk shows and spokes person, remember how George. W would fill us in in person from the White House, not just State of the Union addresses.

If the president's focus and motives aren't on the good of the country we suffer,if the president dispises American exeptionalism and religious beliefs then you
have what we have right now.America in a death spiral.
So Trump or Cruz we stand a chance of recovering, maybe.Hillary is gas on the Obama fire.
One more thing, the younger people have been desinsitized over the 25 yrs to think what there seingis normal.
The term "presidential" has no meaning anymore and even implies the prez.is a square or not "n touch" with the people.

By agencies do you include the department of defense? It seems most most conservatives want to get rid of government regulations concerning the environment. I find that frightening. You will see what greed does to our air water and land. Trump and Cruz will never come around to climate change. Cruz is a big insider. How the hell can a Senator be considered an outsider? Hillary by a landslide.

Spot on,theres a difference between needing and appreciating help and abusing and expecting life long suppport.
I don't feel any sympathy for the ones goodmore listed, they choose that life by being a bully and a distraction in school, should me or anyone
other than their parents be held responsible,No...
If you chose to destroy your life it's not my job nor my responsibility to save you,and it's a fact that you can't change those that don't want to change.
They will lie and con you out of what they can with the pretense of changing until your bled dry.
A person that has worked and did the best they can and fall on hard times deserve help, all they can get because they've been a part of society, no a parasite on society.

That's the kind of change I'd love to see. The federal government is way too big and out of control. It's nothing but one big cocktail party in Washington with both parties.

Here are some thoughts on the whys on how we as a country feel the way we do.

First and foremost you will hear some say the constitution is a static document.

Is it, or can it be such??

You see we have a changing country both demographically and also changing with added technology.

Our government in this respect is behind on both accounts-- both parties.

Consider when the last time we have had a constitutional amendment--- and even consider the fact we have had 2 amendments concerning alcohol,,,.strange??

Has terrorism had an effect on us??? I think so.

Is terrorism actually even the right word to describe these folks or action???

You see we the USA, have made a wrong calculation,,,, we thought when the Soviet Union collapsed we had it made,,,,, but with we becoming the only super power,,, what happened??

This is when terrorism or whatever you want to call it--- started accelerating.

You see some folks around the world-- they can't be party to a government movement i. e. A country's army------ because they would only lose to a superpower the USA.,.. so they do organize more privately, no convey allegiance per se,, no real uniforms or insignia

I have always connected this to the following--- put a starving dog in a pen. What will it try to do?? Escape, and if you try to handle it will bite you, most likely.

It has been stated money is the root of all evil.

Is this another part of our problem in this country both politically and economically???

The real question is,,, we have had our elections in the past with various leaders elected.

Where are we??? Seems our manufacturing jobs are gone for the most part.

In smaller rural towns in the USA,, who are the bigger employers currently???

I can say with certainty in my area,,, it is Walmart and the county's Boards or Education.

And a few jobs with the utility departments.

No garment factories-- we used to have 8 just in my area alone-- all gone.

What are the younger folks supposed to do???

Yes we see where getting a higher educational degree is supposed to be the answer-- but is this the truth??

Dial back 20 years, a higher level educational degree meant something-- it could be used to pick a person for a job-- not so much now.

It is like the following. If everyone in the USA were in fact a millionaire--- how much would a dollar be worth???

I see big problems down the road for us.

We have lost jobs, a tax base, we are living longer, our infrastructure is getting old, our population is growing.

Can our government actually keeps it arms around us as a whole???

I don't know the answer, but right now if I had to bet I'd say no.

There are 2 questions I would like to see asked of the candidates and even current leaders of this country.

First, where are the CEOs who are running to the press ( microphones) telling us what needs to happen to keep their company's jobs in the USA??

And here is the most important question..

What happens if we have tensions or war with China and trade relations are disrupted???

If we had a war with China,,, could we even survive???

Seems to me stores like Walmart -- in time their shelves would be bare.

I am very disappointed with the press here In this country with their topics and questions going to the different campaigns.

I think the founding fathers would be very disappointed with them.

I wish we as a country the best,, but it is going to take some real risks and some real leadership.

I'm curious in what you think is so bad about the country. If you think things are bad now what did you think about the state of the country after W? Edge of the cliff? Re: OT: Who would you like to see as our next president, and why?tongue sticking out smiley
March 09, 2016 02:59PM
Goodmore,
I think you are misunderstanding the electorate and Mr Trump.

Mr Trump is not Mr GW Bush.

Go back and read some of my prior post.

Mr Trump is in fact more of an independent.

How is he winning??

2 reasons,,,, the Republican Party is too far right, and ole Bernie has pulled Hillary to the left-- hence a gaping hole.

Take a look at where Hillary is winning states and delegates--- in states she has no chance to win in general election
Bernie is winning states traditionally won by the left in general election--- this shows a real faulty primary election process set up by the party,,, meaning they are not even selecting the strongest candidate politically--- and polls even bear this out.

I have said this here before,,, watch the state of Pennsyslvanis, and you can even add Michigan, New York, and Ohio.

What is wrong with this country????

I could instantly hand everyone in this country tomorrow a BS or Ms degree--- what would happen???
Are there even places for these folks with these instant degrees-- to infact work and make a living----- and I won't even mention in real life added college debt.

Why are the super rich establishment against Trump???

Here are my thoughts.

The rich are fixing to take a big hit tax wise,,,and the CEOs had better be on guard as well.

I mean if Trump raises taxes on the rich,,, does it matter if he makes 400 million dollars a years vs 350 million dollars a year???

You see Trump is approaching the end of his life--- what else can he do to add to his portfolio??? Certainly more money it seems to me would only be boring to him-- he's been there and done that.

Trump is no dummy,,, has has had to negotiate some treachous waters business wise in his life,,,and this too was mixed with politicans.

We all see Trumps attitude towards him wanting to preserve his positive image.
This is an asset IMO, it will spill into the decisions he will make should he be elected--- and I think voters see this too.

This election certainly can't be looked at like previous elections-- IMO 1980 is the closet.

This election is equally it seems an election about both defense and economics --- depending on where a voter lives,,,,something we haven't seen before.

And remember even the religious right it seems are even bucking tradition-- voting for Trump,,,,they realize religion and Bibles don't put food on the table or pay for a child's education, or even get them a job,,,or keep their children out of useless wars.

One thing I think Trump will do if elected,,and we seem to never see--- if the senate and house try to continue their reindeer games,,,Trump will start putting ( attaching) a moral and business guilt to both houses---- rather than what we have seen previously where it is stated as politics or constitutionally the right thing to do.

I fully expect to see many hose seats if he is elected to have new members in 2018 mid terms-- both new dems and reps,,,folks with fresh thinking and a can- do attitude.

This "Just Say No" attitude is on its way out--- it works for drugs,,,but not politics.

Robert you just posted what everyone knows is the problem.
That is the perfect example of the rich getting richer, those stock market numbers do make the rich very happy.
It does not reflect our job market anymore, period. Years ago when manufacturing jobs were still in America it was a real barometer
of the economy, but now when corporate profits are made in foreign countries producing the goods it's useless, other than showing
how well the very richest corporations are doing.
It has no reflection on the fact that wages have "gone down" under obama every year, unpresidented, and that cost of living has gone up
every year.
More people are working part time jobs or have literally fell out of the job market.
More people are unemployed now than since the great depression.
Part time jobs don't make a living nor a future.
Obama is the worst president in the history of the U.S,but not by accident.

For some reason Robert you choose to speculate repeatedly on what news network I watch and whom I listen to.
Well I don't watch MSNBC or Rachel madcow, don't wanna catch madcow disease as you apparently have.

CNN nope. That leave FOX news that has a viewership of twice as much as CNN and MSNBC combined.
MSNBC is in the red and about to fold up because of there extreme left news anchors that refuse to report the truth.
FOX news has been rated the #1 and most trusted news channel for over 10 yrs, facts not a rant like you are so
well at doing. I would say that since the majority watch FOX with over 2 million viewing and MSNBC having 300,000 viewing that
you are in the minority, even Dems are watching FOX now as MSNBC has lost 25% of its viewers in a year and FOX continues to grow.

And when I watch,no one tells me how to interpret what I watch unlike you, just speculating like you do.
I'm assume you latch onto everything Heifer Madcow says.

Trump Steaks............He held up a steak with a Bush label on it, instead of a Trump label ? Trump steaks went out of business over 5 years ago.

Trump Water....... no longer in business

Trump Magazine.......out of business........ what he was holding up was a brochure of one of his hotels.

Then there is Trump University....... out of biz...... he charged $35,000 to attend......... 15,000 people who attended are joining a class action lawsuit
accusing him of fraud.

Part of what you are saying about the stock market is true but
the market has a large influence on a lot of working peoples retirement
Yes wages have gone down and I think we need to raise the minimum
wage to help with that. A lot of people will say the unemployment rates
are not correct but they never have been correct. They have been figured
out the same way for years. You can call Bernie Sanders a socialist
but a lot of his ideas are the same as Trumps such as doing away
with unfair trade practices.

The differences between Trump and Sanders are greater than what you think robertj298, Trump is a capitalist and Sanders was a bum until he turned 40 years old.

Given the fact that Sanders calls himself a Socialist Democrat, I see no difference between socialism and communism. He is a commie and anybody that votes for either him or Hitlery needs their head examined. Get down on the couch robertj298...lol

I think maybe you need to look up the differences between a democratic socialist, socialist and communist.
Maybe if you read a little bit you will find they are not all the same.
