I don't think ML worry regarding cost to the public you only have to look at the cost of the GPZ to see that, we all thought no one would buy it but they did in the thousands.

Or, has it been lifted out of The Monster?"

It's nice they are released 2 other coils with her. 12x15 will be nice for the farm fields
Re: Here's the new Minelab Equinox

I am drooling to do a head to head to head with the at max and deus. Xp must be dreading this day. That being said the deus still allows the user to fine tune the machine right down to the last detail. If minelab really wants to dominate I suggest they release a wireless pinpointer for the equinox with iron discrim like the etrac probe lets say. Oh my that would be the cats meow

Well with larger coils it is going to be murder to use.

The 6" is the one I want. Hopefully its available at the same time. I had an atmax preordered and paid for but asked my dealer if he could hold my money instead when i first heard about this. I am glad i did.

Well,
I guess my sources didn't let me down.

Don't worry folks.

Wonder what XP has been up to.
I am sure they have been working on another platform besides Deus.

And Nokta/Makro, they are working as well,
FTP is too.

Warranty period on these units??

I guess we can say picking this venue to broadcast release was intentional !!!!!

Guess what?
Who is to blame for this release??
XP!!

Not a bad thing.

White's will take the monster hit here,,Fisher too.

Folks considering At Max and haven't purchased yet,,,,BRAKES just went on big time!!!

Your 'sources' even if they exist didn't tell you Jack S***

This was the best kept 9 month secret and well up there with the CTX release!

It was very difficult: we had two pieces of Information: a Patent: a name, maybe, which turned out true!"

Yes it will probably be bottom heavy. No one has talked about balance yet

Fisher out flanked again. I can picture the Fisher engineers throwing their hands up..... scrapping their latest design.....back to the drawing board folks.

Deja Vu.

They did too.
Sorry Des.

Folks keep me in the know.
Must bother you.

Go look what I posted yesterday.

I talk about a target on someone's back.
And was the release site intention or coincidental?
I knew the prices.
I knew the weight of unit.

I guess the expression " in a league of its own" was wrong too!!

Crap, all the other companies will be just fine, They have done very well for the last 70+ years and will continue to do so.

Absolutely Des,

This is a good machine but keep it real folks.

Nice looking machine with some great features frequency wise.
I'd like to hear the sounds as I wonder if it has an FBS like tone, which I loved.
Also, any chance of a higher model with that 2D screen? Love that...
I will look closely at this machine but want to see the depth and hopefully what Fisher comes out with...

Wow! Very very nice I'm impressed...yep I'm opening my wallet for one of each model, one for me and one for the gf.

It does have a 25 sound block that sounds like the the minelabs we have come to love smiling smiley
Re: Here's the new Minelab Equinox

It looks like the updated xterra that i hoped for. the multi freq is just a bonus! now we wait 6 months. lol
Re: Here's the new Minelab Equinox
September 16, 2017 12:56PM
Finally something worth waiting for. Looks like this will be my first Minelab machine. I always wanted to try the Xterra series, but some people claimed it was heavy and slow... Now with this one I don't see anything negative about it. Looks like the building up hype is well deserved. Only 100g more than the Deus (when I understood correctly) sounds promising. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of heavy metal detectors.

I wonder if the firmware can be updated via USB?

"There are what look like 2 USB slots on the left hand side??"
Re: Here's the new Minelab Equinox

100g more than deus would put it right around 2lbs 5oz.
Re: Here's the new Minelab Equinox
September 16, 2017 01:05PM
That gives me 6 months to sell off a couple detectors..

Seems doubtful the multi frequency is as deep as the ctx? I would be surprised and that makes the difference in whether a person would still go for an older fbs/bbs to beach hunt.

There has to be a catch as this is not their flagship.

Good thinking Mike.

Maybe the goal here with this model,

Strike against Deus, Garrett AT series, Fisher T-2/F75 series, Rutus, White's MX series and Vx series and the Nokta/Makro line.

And if the prices stated hold,,,may indeed be a bullseye.

If I were a serious coin Hunter, I wouldn't off my fbs/fbs2 units just yet.

Agree there, if there light at the elbow there going to be badly balanced with a big coil, i've been running the 13" on my Deus and it's awful.

I dont think this is replacing a 3030 and doesn't even look like this one can go underwater.
