Mark twain once said " never argue with an idiot they will only bring you down to thei level then beat you with experience." I think that appleis in this case as i learned more in a 1 hour dvd made by the so called "florida expert " than i did in my first couple of years detecting.

Exactly why everyone should compare results but with a grain of salt. Just because a macine will hit a dime in xyz conditions at 12 inches does not mean it will hit a dime in YOUR DIRT AT 12 INCHES.

I think one of the biggest problems that turns more people off than anything is. It looks like they are only after the money. I also wish they would not emphasize the monetary value of items but more of the hisorical significance. I dont really know that the show makes us look any more like crazy people as people have always seem to stare and drive by way more slowly even before the show was ever
