Sovereign xs with the old style white solid s-12 coil. Indian head that was an inch deeper than my lesche is long. If it wasnt for the s-1 probe,I never would have got it. Was under a damn root,in a park. Soil was that rich, black soil, and park was well watered. I wish I would have tried out the sef coils you keep mentioning. Right now I have my focus on gold country sites, where iron seperation i

Man,that is awesome! And in great shape. Luckily he didnt do something stupid like shine it up with baking soda. I cringe everytime I read advice on the forums about cleaning coins.

Hi Goodmoore, unfortunately the Deus is out of my price range right now,or I would have one. I remember hitting a demo once with my sov...cant recall which coil, but probably the s-5. I hit it hard and from different angles, but was disapointed with the results. Finally,I broke out my tesoro, and couldnt believe the amount of targets I missed. Was a lesson learned. But we have a ghetto park in Stockt

Aaahhhh, love it! I swung a sov xs as my main unit for eleven years. I tried a coue explorers during that time, and ended up selling them due to..i love the sov tones and I didnt do anybetter with the E. All my buddies use explorers, and I really dont recall them ever getting a signal that I checked and didnt get with the sov. I was usin g the older, solid white S-12 btw,or in extreme trash, the s-5.

Now that you put it out there, bet it happens sooner than later. Id like to see a company have their own inline probe come with it. Thats what minelab should of done.

I wonder when American companys will take notice, and produce a machine like the Euros are doing. Fisher seems to be closest,to pushing the envelope. While Garrett, whites and Tesero are making nice detectors, they dont seem to be willing to go to the nextevel, allowing us to adjust the filters etc,to meet conditions.

Dan,the two best deep turf guys I know(capt fi and Ron ( ca ) ) both stuck with explorers. Both guys often pull over 10 silvers out of hard hit areas.

Yeah, its pretty sad when you have to buy from a third party to ensure a properly working unit. I also find it amusing when guys defend their detectors like it was their gal, lol.

Man,I feel let down. Tesero and minelabs are my favorite detectors. Ill wait for some reviews from the few detectorist that I value their oponion, but doesnt seem like anything new or exciting. At least the price is reasonable, and they throw in 3 good coils

Guess well just have to wait and see. Spank the etrac?? The etrac did not spank the explorer, and neither can spank the Sovereign, at least for deep turf silver.
