Tones and ID were the biggest disappointment to me.
500hz is the tops with the 800 , CTX and Etrac do 1200 and start at 75 , much greater tonal variation and descriptiveness. Couple that with the compressed VDI range and I suspect you will find the reason Minelab rates the 800 below the Etrac and CTX in discrimination in their own propanganda

Yes Pimento , we now have two culprits , tattoos and high fructose corn syrup
High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) (also called glucose-fructose, isoglucose and glucose-fructose syrup[1][2]) is a sweetener made from corn starch that has been processed by glucose isomerase to convert some of its glucose into fructose. HFCS was first marketed in the early 1970s by the CLINTON Corn Processing Company, t

It's not a matter of electronics , geographics or demographics , the lack of finding small ladies rings these days is a matter of DERMA-graphics , as in , they don't buy jewelry anymore , they get TATTOOS.

Flying is statistically much safer than driving but I always had trouble with renting transportation on the other side or inconveniencing friends.
The other up side to flying is that so often individuals who choose to drive and may have an accident , can often end up severely injured or incapacitated in strange locations , while those who fly seldom survive a crash or accident and don't ha

Del ,
He damaged his machine by accident. Detector meets tire and he freely admits the error to Minelab. Minelab refuses to give him a price to replace control handle since it is beyond repair but admits how easy it is to change it out. Three weeks now with nothing but a runaround. You can contact White's , Fisher , Garrett , XP or any other detector manufacturer and get a price for repair

I have a friend who is stuck in exactly that situation.
He is entering the third week of discussion with Minelab service personnel to get a price for fixing his Equinox with no resolution or price for repair.
Last time I talked to him he was just being shuffled around to different Minelab personnel but they still refuse to either help or give him a way to send in his machine with a price of the

There once was a race horse operation near the border who bought a vet , friend of mine , made him a deal that he couldn't refuse until it came to light that they were laundering money and moving narcotics for a cartel out of Columbia.
Make her pay for the insurance and gas so she doesn't take it for granted or become dependent on you.

I just found it to be redundant with the other detectors I had and not as good as some in most of the sites I have the most frequent access to.
Apparently if you do not salivate at the site of an Equinox nor genuflect before those who do use it , you are a hater.
I did find that it towered above other detectors in one aspect,,,,,ease of sale.

I'm having a hard time reasoning why the author would make a point of stating it was not covered in the warranty , twice , when most people would realize right up front that was not true. Glad Gary corrected the author but it could be an issue in the future. Wonder how many Deus have seen this problem?

I would say it's from the bottom of one of those round water coolers.
If it was a coil , "Anyway, I got 'skunked!' Wonder what the other guy got?" , isn't it obvious,,,,,everything!!

I have been on what I would imagine would be close to 20 different hunts with 3 different people each running the Equinox , all in proverbial hammered out parks and have yet to see anyone of them have a single epiphanic moment with the Equinox as so many of the hype-sters continue to report. No doubt it works as well as others but there may be many that have realized it is just another detector a

FEDEX can't find my porch after multiple tries.
Missed once with a detector from Tom and dropped it on the wrong street and again with a $250 lithium battery down the road at the wrong address. I now make them deliver and hold at the nearest location and pick things up.
I would lay odds on you having a porch pirate in your neighborhood and little recourse.

Please keep us posted on this and how the Chinese replacement works out. This is another area that Minelab has been disingenuous with the public after they made big promises that parts for their machines would be available to purchase and then they never followed through beyond creating a bogus catalog. If I remember right the parts are for sale to registered members and then they provide no way

All of your links are for "out of stock or pre-order" coils that don't officially exist. I was hoping for a real price from someone that has paid and has one in the mail.
What was the cost of the one you are expecting?

The initial suggested price was $179 if I remember right but then as it drew closer to reality I saw $229 somewhere. Getting a credible price from Minelab on anything beside new units for the Equinox is quite a feat.

" lazy as the next guy."
Interesting choice of words.
Next implies you were first therefore did something the other guy didn't , making you somehow , less lazy.

A person can throw up as many red herrings as they wish to avoid the issue but it doesn't alter the current state of Minelab having no support for Equinox owners facing the dilemma of repairing an Equinox control handle that is not covered by warranty. In the OP quote you will notice "several requests" which tells me the situation has been occurring with sufficient frequency to ha

I don't think a Go-Find has seen enough use to break
And Minelab needs more time to determine their units reliability? What difference does that make,? it's disposable!!!!
Time to accept the truth,,,
Minelab has created a beauty queen with green teeth

A comparison between the Deus and Equinox is indeed not fair. A broken Deus controller with no warranty still has value , the Equinox controller in similar condition has none.
I think Minelab will have to put some type of "value added" clause to the Equniox control handle warranty to get them out of their disposable detector dilemma.
A core charge type redeemable value for the con
