Hey Ziggy it appears that there is no manual ground balance only a pumping mode (T2 Style) is that the only ground balance mode ? once you have done a ground balance can you alter it up or down ?

I dont like the sound of the new battery in the new coils been mounted in the lower stem that sounds like it will give trouble if the connection gets broke to the coil.

I have just come across this site they say they can tune Deeptech Vista Smarts and Deus they dont say what the improvements are but the price is eye watering $473 for the Smart has anyone used this service ? it may be a scam as they want payment in advance.

I ran mine today Keith i dug a total of 18 non ferrous items including 3 buttons that read in the low 30's some lead and can slaw pieces the fields were very quiet finds wise for everyone but with lots of iron about, GB came in at 44 and the mineral reading was 37 the soil was wet sticky clay type, i tried all the programs except COG i could run at 99 sens in the D13 mode and 88 in the D12,

Great choice Keith those Gray Ghosts are 150 ohm just like my choice Clear Signal Soeverein which may be easier to find in the UK than the Gray Ghost Woodlands the Clear Signals also work best with the limiter off they produce lovely high tones for the good targets.

Tone break in 2 tone would be awesome the US detector manufacturers need to listen to the needs of its customers more they make some great performing units that just need some polish/input from experienced users like yourself to make them the world beaters they used to be.
