Hi,,,that's not good they said they was giving the Racer more depth in the three tone mode.....I commented a while back on the need for good modulated audio & more depth....They just changed the functionality of the sensitivity control then..... Oh and the answer you seek is right in front of you I will let you discover the answer yourself....LoL....JJ

Hi Jack,,,,,"Most of the places here in undisturbed ground the deepest are 5 to 7 inches deep.".............What are the coins you are finding at this depth and what machine do you use......"10 maybe 11inch range, depth wise."........I can't reach this kind of depth with any machine I own.............JJ

Hi,,,,This company needs to start standing still and start producing quality products not a quantity of products.....He said his plan is to introduce new processes....I'm thinking that they plan on reprogramming the T-2 chip and repacking it so it looks like a different/new machine.....Maybe they will offer a new upgrade to the T-2 in the future, boy wouldn't that be nice....Why can

Hi,,,I guess my main point I was trying to get across is that a lot of people believe that the old timers got all the old coins years ago....I don't think so, BFO detectors did not go that deep at all....I think in the 70's TR detectors made the scene but again they did not go that deep....In the late 80's VLF machines were going pretty deep but you had to swing them really fast to

Hi,,,,Okay my inner cranium was working over time this past week....My brain stimulation was at it's peak while I was slowly swinging my coil, trying to unearth some hidden gems in a trash laden area....I was working an old forgotten park about 40 miles from my homestead....Working around to the front of the park I noticed a plaque that said that it was started in 1862 just 12 years after the

Hi Lowboy,,,,,These air tests are very important and here's why.....I have a spot that is very trash ladened & the old coins have been verified to average around 6" + deep....If I was to run the Racer in the three tone mode with a sensitivity of 39 to keep overdrives at a minimum....Then the Racer would not cut the Mustard if I used the 5" coil....Even running it at full tilt,

Hi Daniel,,,,Thank you very much for doing them tests....It seems kinda puny in the three tone mode....TSS thanks for the info, I wonder if the Racer was so good why did the guy in the first link get rid of it?....I know there is definitely some coil issues on the Racer that should of been addressed a long time ago....JJ

Hi Daniel,,,I would like to see a copper penny in the test...I'm mainly interested in the three tone mode with sensitivity set at 39..70...and full....Both the stock and 5" coil too....I have not read of anyone pulling anything deep yet....JJ

Hi,,,Just to clear up my statement above, I did not say that the Racer never had modulated audio,I just wish it was more pronounced is all.........JJ

Hi Keith,,are you saying that there's was no change in the sensitivity settings between the two also did they change the modulated audio?....I'm not pleased with the modulated audio on the one I tested (post one)....I like more of a modulated audio than they currently have now...Perhaps I rely on it to much....Thanks.....JJ

Hi,,nice Injun's, I once read that some collectors/dealers will pay a premium for some with a nice patina on them...I try to focus on these type/shape of coins and hunt accordingly...........JJ

Hi,,,I have never tried this but know it would not work....To provide the type/form of shielding you are asking about it would have to be made of metal or a metallic compound...Most EMI is not usually introduced through the wire itself because of the already adequate shielding provided on the wires that they use..........JJ

Hi,,,,It seems to me even at your machines lowest sensitivity it's signal is actually seeing way deeper than eight inches....My proof of this or an example of this would be bury a manhole cover two feet down....I guarantee your machine will hear it....I have had many times where I had to drop the sensitivity down to ground balance the machine....Now on the other hand I have had deep coins th

Hi TSS,,,,Yeah I could run one and probably do good or decent right away?.....Most people if not all will find a coin and say I found a coin.....I find a coin and say why did I find that coin, then the data storing process begins....I try to learn a machine well enough hunting by sound only and I can usually tell what the item is before I dig it....Most every thing/items seems to have their own s

Hi hightone,,,,Yeah my old hunting buddy said that his locked into overdrive and the only remedy was to pull the batteries out....After that it never slipped a gear it may need an overhaul/update or maybe even a possible a fluid change in the near future.....JJ

Hi,,,I really did not notice any or not much of an air noise issue.....The audio was also speaking a language that I clearly understood too....I did notice if the ID filter was raised a little that the audio became suppressed or nullified somewhat....I did not think it was overly noisy in this fairground type scenario....I only need one day with one to see if it's worth a second glance.....L

Hi Wayne,,,,,yeah I'm aware of the frequency shift on the units....But would the crosstalk cause a lack of depth etc.?....I think it would take someone with two Racer's to give an accurate report....We got a snow storm here last night and the spot I want to work is still frozen...........Crazy..................JJ
