And without a transferable warranty, no less!-----Looks like it went for $1400 though--Aren't they selling for 1900 clams new?------In any case, that's a LOT of money for a detector without a warranty.-----I thought about it, then thought again! grin-------If it was say a GPX (and you had a use for it) with Minelabs transferable warranty, that would have been a leeetle different situati

Last I heard, FT had a (possible) target date of 12/'12 for a new detector.----They do have a history of release dates getting pushed back though.-----In any case, I (and many others) are waiting to see what comes out of El Paso---should be good!

Well, I think Kellyco is going to have to get realistic with their prices if they expect to sell any of these things.----

Thanks for re-posting that Albert.------I to had heard that Detech started producing the Ultimate coils in black due to requests.-----I see the ones that Kellyco show are the white ones.---I wonder if those are in the first run batch or if they (Detech) are making the white & black ones at the same time (now).----I know the first ones produced were all white ones.---------Del

Aside from the price factor---what are your opinions of these two coils for the Etrac/Explorers?----Has anyone done "side by side" testing of these two coils as to depth, emi handling, etc.?-----Is one of the coils really better than the other & if so, in what way(s)?------------Thanks, Del

JW (Kellyco) just made a statement (about 7 hrs. ago) on the feedback forum at Findmall that Kellyco now has the 13" DD Ultimate coils in stock for the above mentioned detectors.----I don't know what's going on with Kellyco---I get this email from John Burrows stating that Kellyco isn't even going to sell those coils.----Seems the Kellyco staff ought to get their heads togethe

Thought this might be of interest to some of you guys as there has been some talk on the 13" DD Ultimate coil.------I received an email answer today (3/28) from Kellyco to my query about if they would be selling the 13" DD Ultimate coil.-----It read as follows: Del----Sorry Kellyco will not be selling the Ultimate 13" coils---Thank you---------John Burrows, Sales Consultant, Kel

Sonny----What pin pointer (if any) did you use with the Deus?----I read where one of the UK guys was saying he was having some trouble with cross talk when using a pin pointer with the Deus (even when using the Garrett Pro Pointer).-----That seems kinda odd (if that's true) as you can run on four different frequencies with the Deus & the Pro Pointer is operating on what 13 khz?------Keep

Sonny-----It happens EVERYTIME a new detector comes out!----This one (Deus) isn't exactly new out, but it is to us here in the U.S.-----Sooooo, here we go again---the fighting, bickering, etc. and all that goes with it.---I never could figure what sets all that off (or why).-----I'm not speaking of that happening on this forum, but elsewhere.---------Del

earthmansurfer------A couple of good points you made and I suppose that would be a plus for purchasing a Minelab pinpointer with an adjustable sensitivity setting.-----After 36 yrs. in this great hobby and experimenting/trying about every pinpointer known to mankind (for my coin hunting)----let me tell you how I ended up doing it (who knows, you might want to give it a "shot" yourself)!

John-----You can have that option with the Pro Pointer also (either vibration alone or sound & vibration).---I'm like you and Hillis, I like it silent.----I just cut a round piece out of gaffers tape to cover the speaker hole (most any thick tape will do) and you got a "no sound" pin pointer--just vibration.----You could silicone the speaker holes also but that's kind of m

With the exception of the adjustable sensitivity feature it has & going by the (limited) other description, it "appears" about like the Pro Pointer.-------Humor me, what is the advantage of having an adjustable sensitivity adjustment on a pin pointer?----Is that not just another switch/control to get sand into?-----Just wondering out loud! grin-----------Del
