Keith - As astute and compassionate as you are about American History . . .
you should absolutely see Gettysburg and Anteitam
It is a life changing event to some people . . . the guides are awesome and

I took the kids up there ( 2 hrs. from the house ) about a month ago.
51,000 men perished in 3 days there. 23,110 in 1 day at Antietam
The guide told us that there was so much lead being fired across those
battlefields that they found shot that had collided in mid-air and fused together.
Such was the determination of good men back then . . . now fast forward to today.

Thank You Tom - I was surprised at that number . . . assumed it was much higher.
Compared to my our state of Maryland that's actually encouraging.

In regards to this topic . . . I think for a comprehensive State-By-State & County-By-County
spreadsheet to be assembled for all to see . . . would be a real eye opener . . . as far as what
rights have already been taken away . . . long before I ever came along vs. what little is left.
Except it would probably prove to be next to impossible to accurately assemble . . . depending

Wednesday 19th June 2013: Minelab, the global leader in gold detection technology and hand-held metal detector devices has announced the latest success in its Stop Counterfeits campaign. Yep, I have shown up in places like this.
If I really had my heart set on hunting this place I fill in the holes.
If not I get right back into the truck and never come back.
Unfortunately for you this was one of your few prime spots.

It has gotten to the point with me that I ask myself every other hunt . . . what is it that I am trying to accomplish here again ?
The only thing left is the POUNDED beach. I say that because it has happened that way many times when I step out onto the
beach and I am surrounded by 25 other MD's easily within site and usuing far more powerful equip. than what I swing.

He said he wasn't sure but remembered he once detected a rusty hubcap with it at 2 ft ??? Is it me ???

You never know . . . if you never ask so . . .
I'm sure there's a lot more to it than just winding wire and encasing it in a

Thanks for your time and maybe you can convince Link Tech get moving

Oh believe me . . .
I have already learned that "High Performance MD Coil Manufacturing" is no easy task.
I can fully appreciate the difficulty of this process and for just minimum/sometimes no
gain in performance at that . . . in a lot of cases.
To become Optimal for Depth and Stability there are most likely proprietary PCB hurdles
that really should take place too. Fail

Chris - Hello from the U.S.
Can you make a stable coil for an ATPro . . . 15" to 20" if provided with the
proprietary garrett connector. And what would be your expected U.S. Coinage
Airtest results ?
Have you tried or tested such an idea yet ???

I guess we all have encountered an experience like this. I know I have.
At my age I did not think my freedom to do a simple thing would be viewed

Yeah . . . I got a new coil recently that must have been damaged and was totally EMI unstable for no reason.
I tried covering the control with aluminum thinking . . . it can't be the coil . . . brand new ? Yeah right ?
My ATPro handles EMI quite well but . . . you have to do all of the steps . . . incl. feq. shift
Wouldn't it be nice to have some kind of magic spray or really ligh

Dan - Hey neighbor . . . No problem . . . It's all good.
I'm just so focused on this ATPro salinity project of mine . . . even though I have a CZ-20/21 . . .
because I know my ATPro will continue to surprise me at the beach if I learn to forecast and handle it.
Sooooooo . . . I am going to give this salinity thing a good look. Insofar as . . . my equip, settings & location.

Dan - I was there in mid April when we had a few days that were goood enough. I was in the water up
to ( well ? ) . . . my zipper !
The water temp was around 51F and I had no problem with my stock coil even whilst in-the-salt water.
Reflecting on the same situation from summers past ( and hunting late in those summers ) I was always
battling with being unstable in the much warmer waters.

I am looking for answers too. I don't mind paying a little extra attention to track this but . . .
I will be tracking my location and how it relates to my equip ?
I strongly believe there is a direct coorelation between time, temp & salinity levels ppt,
coil size and design, sensitivity and other factors . . . and being unstable.

Starting to become very interested in the ocean water temps and most importantly salinity ppt levels in my area.
I want to collect enough data and do enough testing to know at what levels my small coil has become unstable,
my medium coil and my large coil . . .
As temps warm up and direct sunlight becomes a prolonged sourse of evaporation the water becomes warmer and higher in salinity.
