I'm glad to see that I'm in good company! Seems we're all (mostly) on the same page! YES, DO NOT sell your Silver Finds & YES look for those Gold rings! The "Dollar" will soon be green toilet paper. (Replaced with something else for sure. ONE World currency?) BUY and HOLD PHYSICAL SILVER!!!

I don't think this is too goofy of a question but...
I'm interested in finding more Rings & jewelry, most of which will have been dropped within the last year or two.
I'm joining an organization that helps people find lost valuables (Mostly rings) & I'm very curious as to the "Sink rate"
of your "Typical" ring compared to a coin. Would a ring sin

Todd at the White's factory BRIEFLY mentioned a new "release" to me a few days ago but would not elaborate. I'd be willing to bet that Dan-Pa. is right though - MARKETING! (I'm still waiting to see!!)

Who am I to argue with all you guys and all those great machines you use & have used? All I'll say is I spent 20+ years in the parks & schoolyards & pulled out 10's of thousands of coins & other goodies with mostly OLDER Whites units. The 6000 Di Pro SL was the best I've ever used (XLT a very close second!) & if I can ever find a lighter weight machine that lock

Hi guy's. Tom said it was OK to post this so...
I'm selling my White's Spectrum XLT. This machine prolly has less than 20 or 30 total hours on it (I stopped 'tectin for a while to be a Rock Star! LOL)
& is in AWESOME shape!! The machine comes with...
9 1/2" coil
6" "Deepscan" coil
Coil covers for both coils
Hardshell case
Rechargeable Nicads

@ Marcomo - I've never wanted to be dead wrong more in my life but if I am, a lot of very sharp folks (Sharper than I) will be wrong too! Let's hope we all are!

Most of my experience is with the older analogue machines. After a time with my White's 6000 for example, it was pretty easy to pick out a coin just from the tone. Smoother, sweeter than tabs, caps etc... (Nails were easy!) I could ID things with my eyes closed! (Not 100% of the time of course) When I "Graduated" to the XLT and now the F75 LTD - I seem to have lost that ability OR

You can barter with it. You can exchange it for the NEXT currency that will replace the dollar. (This is already in the works) Unless you live on your own land, grow ALL your own food & are 100% self sufficient, you will need a medium of exchange. Hmmm... Worthless greenbacks or what people have been using for the last 5000 years? Silver & Gold! Over-rated? Really??

Below is a list of the Silver value of many of the coins us shooters are looking for. This is not "Numismatic" value, but Silver content value. List is courtesy of the White's monthly newsletter... Guy's, the USA now owes over 62 TRILLION in unfunded liabilities which equates to over $534,000 PER HOUSEHOLD! ALL debts must be paid. The writing is on the wall for the US Economy

I sure miss the unmistakeable tone of a coin & the broken tone of iron from my old White's 6000 DI Pro SL - (That unit was DEEP TOO!) Dumbest thing I ever did was to sell that machine! Hope you enjoy the Pics...

Nice find and nicer gesture! All these little things we can do for others not only come back to us in one way or another, but they help promote the "good side" of our great hobby! (not that there's a bad side!) Great job!

I am a big proponent in buying AND HOLDING PHYSICAL Silver! I have never promoted my own website here and won't start now but the fact remains, Silver is USED in so many industries (As apposed to Gold which is mostly hoarded) & when you couple this growing need & use for Silver with the ever collapsing value of fiat currencies (namely the good 'ole greenback) I see a bright &

Good post Ozzie! I've been Bass fishing since I was a kid & I've been metal detecting since I was a kid! At one time, my honest goal was to catch the world record Bass (Large-mouth) which wouldn't be impossible in my parts. I got to 14 1/2 lbs with many over 10lbs & I tell ya, there's very few things that compare with knowing you have a serious lunker on the line! One

I have the F75 LTD & the 11" 10" & 5" coils. I completely understand the apps. for the 11" & the 5" but I've never heard ANYTHING positive about the 10"er. Does anyone use this coil & why??

I sure can't say I know you Lawrenzo but I have read many of your posts & seen some of your Vids. It's interesting that you can really get a sense that someone is a "good guy" from there words & certainly from their Vids. & I definitely get that sense about you! I love your enthusiasm about our hobby and our history & I honestly believe that enthusiasm and my &

@ Dan-Pa - The policeman told me that no one complained, he just happened to be driving through & saw our car. I was EXTREMELY respectful & used humor & told him I understood his situation (I lied a little there!) I did everything I could to be a "good guy" - Keep in mind, this guy told me he'd been a cop for 6 years and he'd NEVER seen anyone with a metal detector

I did sweep with factory settings 'till I found a clean spot to GB in. NO Joy! (I like that Tom) I also used the Pinpoint mode as you suggest. Again, No joy! It's 95 degrees here so may be a while before I get back out but NO, I'm not soured on my new unit yet! That would be foolish after one short outing! I am seriously bummed that my old fav. hunting ground is now "Off-limit

I just couldn't wait any longer! 6 weeks ahead of my Chiro's advice, me & my better half hopped in the car at 6:30 Mon. morn. to go swinging in my old fav. school yard that I've dug literally thousands of coins, several ounces of silver & a little jewelry out of over the years with my White's units. First thing I noticed is the playground had been TOTALLY re-done. Seve

The tree roots & darker/richer soil has usually indicated a non-fill dirt area in my neck of the woods. Ga. red clay shows up big time when an area should have darker more organic soil. Found my first 3-ringer & many Silver coins around massive trees with exposed roots! Some trees can be hundreds of years old and have provided shade for many throughout their years! I love BIG trees &

Just found this thread & Thank You go-rebels for starting it! I learned A LOT!! I'm a BRAND NEW F75LTD owner (Haven't even swung it yet due to injury) & sure looked into those ML machines before I got the F75. I'll stick with my so far unused F75 with no trepidations! I did wanna say that, although I LOVED ( & still do) my White's XLT, My Fav. unit was the 6000 DI

I feel like a schmuck! Everyone that's been affected by these damn tornadoes is in my prayers! HUNDREDS of lives have been lost and countless lives and families have been disrupted or worse. God Bless everyone affected by these storms & my "interest" in the "weather" doesn't mean I'm not thinkin' & prayin' 'bout ya!

Hope I'm not outta place posting this but I have been a Whites guy for well over 30 years! My first machine was before VLF (GE made a big splash & the sweet tones of the albeit shallow TR made it EASY to tell a coin from a nail. My last (I still own) machine was the XLT & WOW, what a dream!~ My fav. machine was the 6000 Di Pro SL. which I made 10's of thousands of finds with! Th
