Fact of life the new F units are noisy(EMI) compared to your CZ but with time in the field and experimenting imagine you can cut down on the EMI..Perhaps someone who has unit for a while can help him out..
Remember the 1266 with its snap-crackle-pop was also noisy but was the favorite of many for years..

Seems like some of the hand grips(foam rubber) depending on the run are a hair to large and move(aggravating as can be) what I did was run some electrical tape around the pole to widen the pole a tad and grip will not move...may have to experiment as you just want a light layer to have the grip stay in place..Imagine
double faced tape would work also but electrical tape causes no damage to the p

Many say it has to repeat from 4 angles which it usually will do on shallow targets..My philosophy has always been if it repeats from two angles side to side not to and fro( tech told me years ago to and from on a CZ is not as good as side to side so no to and fro when using a CZ. Heres a tip if you get a one way target that sounds good check the depth and if 8 inches or more play around with it

Excalibur would be my choice for the shallow surf at saltwater beaches as unlike the CZ20-21 not locked in saltmode...Many also use PI units for extremely mineralized beaches but never used one..but if so be prepared to dig a lot as they go deep even on a bobbi pin...or hair clip...perhaps someone experienced in PI units could offer some input...

Setting slightly positive generally improves depth and most set ground balances are set up in this way...Might give Fisher a call and talk to a tech as they usually have little hints that don't show up in field tests or detector hype ads...

Both above mentioned are good units well learned...Some like blue chevies and some red fords kind of thing...Every unit has their plus and minus features and wish Minelab would lighten the load and Fisher would control the EMI...Heck lets not forget, Whites, Tesoro, Garrett and the list goes on as its all about the nut at the end of the wheel as most high end units well learned will excell and we

Tom quoted "The 'salt' mode on a CZ-3D is exactly identical to the 'salt' mode on ALL other CZ's" which is correct and the lack of sens. is to small gold which comes in low foil or to extremely deep silver so take this into consideration when using any CZ in salt mode. When hunting any saltwater beach whether dry or wet sand if you can get away with using the re

Yep my wifes white gold band comes in real low on any unit and there is a difference in depth in salt mode on any CZ which varies from unit to unit..To me a minus on the CZ3D especially when used in reg mode which is locked in saltmode and of course same goes for a silver coin and guess thats why I would recommend using the advanced mode when hunting for silver old or new area..On a salt water be

Don't know about other units but if two CZ guys hunt together hunt super far apart as even if not crosstalking they are causing both fellows depth...been there done that..and read several stories on this CZ situation....

Gee I didn't know guys collected mason jar lids..((just kidding))....my friend......My guesstimate would be 18 inches or so just for the lid.( found a walking half at 16 with a CZ5...Now filled with silver coins is a different story and perhaps 2 feet plus...Only problem it would cover a lot of area and most would leave it lie thinking it was a horse shoe or the like and have no idea if it w

For those that hunt in freshwater beach and water situations find yourself an old metal hipmount Tesoro land unit...With disc at 0 a fishhook or bobbypin will crackle while the mico jewelry will hit. Tip from my freshwater hunting days years ago when my diabetic legs would take the cold water...Of course in saltwater enviroment the same unit will chatter like heck especially in the wet sand or wa

You are right on the CZ70 after 4 unit will false in most cases must have new sens. facets from older CZ's that you might get6-8 on digital and 5-6-7-8 on analog..never found an area where I could run any CZ at 9-10.Depending how you are airtesting hope its not in the house or under a power line or the like.I think you are a bit short on depth with say a silver dime as you should get at lea

Being a retired Pa. Statepoliceman I know when I was working most didn't know a detector from a coffee pot so feel your indication of an Ace 250 is valid as heck in most situations it will do the job even if you are on a day off and used by untrained hands as its user friendly...By the way give Garret a call as they do make one of the lower end GTA units made specifically for what you want i

For years was considered one of the best((freshwater) water units around even though a little weak on lower end gold jewelry..Will chatter like heck on a saltwater shore and your CZ6A will purr like a kitten. May still be the deepest water units around in freshwater but a Tesoro water unit will spank it relative finding gold jewelry especially the small stuff....Same old story most serious detect

Been a while since I used one but think the 4 is a bit high for the $1.00 and would feel probably closer to 3 would be my guess...Basically $1.00 is low foil and $2.00 around nickle or just above..however mineralization, tilted coin, next to junk etc. could alter the reading a tad either way...so have to leave some room for error lest you go right over the top of one...

Of course remember Tom brings out the best in a detector due to his expertise and your results may differ in your neck of the woods as conditions vary from State to State or for that matter area to area. I tried the F series from the new Fisher
and the EMI drove me crazy so went back to my old favorite the CZ. Having said that remember the old Fisher 1265-1266 would drive one crazy with its snap

Even with conventional CZ's some check in both salt and normal mode...Actually CZ3D.. one mode for old places and one for newer parks so you should cover the area well due to both modes having different tone and meter width parameters and could easily grab a nice silver that someone missed..

Was rumor going around several years ago that some super tuned CZ5's were being sent out by Los Banos...I think I have one as it will airtest a silver dime at 12 inches with sens. at 6 where my unit is usually stable..Have hit areas where I went to 7 or 8 but never could run one at 9 or 10 and still keep a stable unit..Remember when ground balancing keep the sens. and Vol at 10 so you can he

If you have an area without much junk and its large this may help. Simply hunt in Auto-tune 0 and when you get a deep hit simply flip the dial from 0 to 1 to get an ID and audio tone response. Auto-tune to me seems to cover a lot more ground while swinging and not much difference in depth so if you hit one of those areas try it as you may like it..Basically tells you how much junk in the ground a

Having used the XS-11 and SE I feel some additions were made but an experienced XS hunter could hang in with experienced users of the other two.
Sorry haven't used the E-trac but imagine probably the same...Lets face it if they didn't come out with new units every now and then companies would soon go out of business...Honestly those who have used both feel free to offer your opinion...

Hunted N.J. beaches for 10 years with a CZ and should work well..Might have to run it lower sens. than on land depending on what the waves brought in..Fellow is crazy asking that type of price and indeed thats why its still on the rack.. If hunting wet sand ground balance it in wet sand in salt mode..In dry sand might get away with regular mode on that CZ6A...will go deeper and be more conductive

Heck who in heavens name would want to dig the depth indicated surely comes to mind. I suppose a lighter CZ is possible, but then one wonders about build quality. Perhaps some way to cut down the odds relative gold jewelry versus junk would certainly be a breakthrough and would put more gold rings in the pouch. We all know gold jewelry is mixed with various metals so would be a major accomplishmen
