I was speaking to the physical condition of the unit only. However, that being said, according to the ad, the unit works perfect except for the internal speaker. I'm assuming most here use headphones when hunting, so, that wouldn't be an issue

Just wanted to give you guys a head's up...Someone posted a mint condition 1021 CZ3D on my site a little while ago. Tom tuned and certified. Here's the link:
I haven't stopped by here or logged on in ages, but when I just logged into the site, it said something to the effect of; "Possible hack attempt. Please try logging in again." But I was already logged in at that

Something about the paper doesn't seem right. For being almost 200 years old, it should be more yellowed, and the edges show almost no signs of fraying. Additionally, no stains, bad creases, rips, tears, etc. It almost seems too perfect, to my eye. Unless it was hermetically sealed or something, I just cannot picture a piece that old looking that crisp/new. However...

Guys, just a quick heads up, as these machines are now considered cult status, and are some of the deepest units ever. As you know, they don't come up for grabs too often. There's a Tom validated 1021 CZ for sale on my site: www.TreasureClassifieds.com
I had a 1021 validated by Tom, and getting letting it go was one of the worst things I ever did.

Sorry for the false alarm, guys. I was just as excited as everyone else. Maybe Garrett will read into this a bit deeper, and fully realize the hunger out there for something different, something cutting-edge. Minelab has the market cornered on pure depth coupled with accurate VID, IMO, but imagine marrying that with something like a shaping feature. As Keith said, what if a detector could actuall

Ok, think the mystery is solved. A member of my forum contacted Garrett personally, and they seemed in total disbelief about the ad. After some research, they were able to track down the person who designed & posted it, at which point they found out it was meant as a "joke". They created it in the hopes Garrett would see it and hopefully consider some of the design features. The tea

UPDATE: A member of our community reached out to someone at Garrett, and this person knew nothing about the "AT Concept". Whether that's the real deal, or not, I have no way of knowing, just sharing the latest news.
Here's my question? Why would someone create this flyer and post it online? Could it be, as Keith stated, that it was leaked by someone to gauge consumer respon

Ok, do a search on Facebook for "Dug That Metal Detecting Group." The first post down on their page is about this. Going by their comments, some people think it's an obvious fraud, and some think it's genuine. I'm on the fence, but leaning towards B.S.
Wouldn't any dealers know about this? Testers? Not a peep from anyone. Not a good sign. Looked good, though, lol.

Keith, from all I can gather, this APPEARS kosher, but still not 100% sure. And I agree...
All looks good, but IF that target shaping feature actually works, and isn't just a dumb gimmick, how amazing would that be?!
I was never the biggest Garrett fan, but I use what works, no brand loyalty here. Their pinpointers & AT line turned the tide for me though...very good products.

Garrett supposedly has a new detector coming out, if this info I spied on Facebook today, is true. Anyone have any info?
Don't know how to post pics on here, and don't use any photo sharing sites. Here's a link to a photo:

Not trying to be a negative SOB, as I hope it finds you all the gold, silver & relics in the world, however...
I am firmly convinced those things are pure frauds. I'd write the experience off as a "luck of the draw" type scenario. If anything...

I think all of these things are pure BUNK. And you will NEVER see one stay up on the classifieds, if posted. How ANY legitimate, reputable, honest dealers can sell these to customers is beyond me, and they should not be rewarded with our business, IMO.

Hey guys, been a member here for almost 5 years now, and this forum has been very good to me. It's one of the most knowledgable sites around bar none. We're having a contest on our facebook page for a Pro-find pinpointer and a Gold/Jewelry Testing Kit, and just wanted to give you guys a heads up. Open to anyone that's on FB. Hope someone from here wins one of the prizes If this po

We were notified of an issue from several members within the past week, since they were not receiving their daily email alerts on new Treasure Classifieds listings. We believe the situation has been remedied, however, if you have signed up for the daily email alerts, and are still NOT receiving them, please send me a PM here, so we can address the problem. This listing, although rare, is the real deal. These coils seldom come up for sale, and when they do, they're quite pricey. So I had my doubt

This issue has been resolved. And I do owe Spaceport an apology, as it wasn't he who posted the blatant advertising on my site, but his Facebook group administrator, instead (John Maher). Since John's profile was emblazoned with photos and links to this relic hunting group, I inadvertently thought it was SP, and I'm sorry.

If I can please chime in here...
I too asked Tom, about plugging my site when it first launched, and he was gracious enough to oblige, which I am still appreciative of, to this day. However...
I had a bit more than 8 posts when doing so. Not saying it is the case here, however, I find him signing up for an account, and then immediately posting about his group quite dubious. Not saying there

Hi, a fellow member tipped me off to your post here. The person above is correct, you need to check your spam folder. You should receive your confirmation email within a couple of minutes...at the most. If you did not get it, it's possible you inadvertently entered the wrong email address. Just try creating your account again, making sure you input your correct email. If it still doesn'

This new detector hitting the streets soon, The Racer. Is this being billed more as a separation/iron work unit, or as a depth machine?
Reason I ask is, like a few others here, I'm primarily a hunter of old coins. My regular spots are fields and/or parks, where there's a fair amount of iron/junk, but it's very sparse and spread out. I hunt very few iron heavy locales. So...

I used to use a head lamp all the time when hitting the low in the early a.m. hours back when I beach hunted. This is the one I used. It's an Energizer. Fantastic & BRIGHT!!! Duracell makes good ones, too. They're all in the $20 range.

Has anyone used this before? Never heard about it myself, until I stumbled upon the article last night. It closely resembles the GPX 5000 by its appearance. Looks interesting. I believe this is the company that makes those new Makro pinpointers, too.

This thread has me ticked off. Reason being...
When I launched Treasure Classifieds a couple years back, I emailed Tom, and ASKED his permission to put up a post about it. He was gracious enough to say yes, and to this day, I am quite appreciative of it. As Steve said, it's Tom's 'house'. I REALLY hate seeing someone's kindness taken for granted! Now, I understand that
