Agree, a pod angle/display adjustment. Might do wonders for reducing glare too.
And just think a maker could in fact make the rod as such so a customer could in fact only have to buy the new components- say the pod/display and the coil(s) and cable. So in doing this overall price reduction could be achieved and the customer/user still retains the adjustments without having to pay. A rod with

a rod on their detectors where the handle angle is adjustable. There already may be some I'm unaware of. But some of the more expensive detectors you would think deserve the extra feature. Shouldn't be hard to design. May add a tad more weight, but I think it might be a good sacrifice. And would allow adjustment to maybe offset balance when changing coils. Like that take out a se

Keith,
I referred the nice gent to you. Hope you didn't mind. I know you have wrote lots about the detector and probably could help.

It might work, meaning you'd lose some of the small stuff, but dimes, small jewelry could be lost i.e. For the larger coins it might help. Overall, I think it's a bad idea. I think you would be better off using your pinpoint feature to try and size and check for depth. Other things like tonal quality and TID variations while sweeping may give clues to dig or not dig. And of course

MRH,
You declared a truce, yet you won't let go. So here's some more. I was not picking on you for your 3 ringer find. In fact, you made my point for me. Metal detectors don't generate coins, buttons and such in the ground. I wish they did. Sure I could take the cheapest and flimsiest of metal detectors to a target rich environment and make some finds. But to see how a meta

Why don't you call some dealers and ask. They may be able to work a deal with a coil swap so you're not in as deep $$$$wise. Just a thought. You could go the AT gold route. It comes with a 5x8" coil. Looks like a little more $$$ than the AT Pro.

I have a tornado coil for my F75. I know it would help you with depth, I'm not sure it's gonna help me using disc, because of the 4 bar ground. I need to do a little testing.

You'll find some stuff. If your ground is mild the F75 you have will get you down there. And if I did get over any iron signals with it and they pinpoint 13 or more inches, I would dig them. Especially if they pin point small. I like my upgraded unit. My soil is not so good, but the unit seems to punch pretty good. Don't know which model bliss you have. I would like to try a V5 o

MRH,
Never slammed Deus. I actually have 2 of them, A CTX too and a F75LTD2. I was linking your complaining about all the Core/Racer talk to the Deus. As it had been talked about heavily here too. And no slam for the 3 ringer, I dig them too, small lead too. You just seem like you never dig any junk. You would be the first I've heard of; especially when relic hunting. You do relic hu

No problems here. Just don't understand why you would want to knock Nokta detectors. They are up and coming here in the USA. And this "Lots of talk" you refer to. You know there was lots of Deus talk too. And if another release happens with Deus, there will be more-guarantee it. Don't you have a Deus?? There is no perfect detector. BTW, I don't have problems with

Well MRH, didn't you go to Ga and detect with Keith?? If you don't mind what machine did you use?? Seems like I remember you found one 3 ringer. Sounds like maybe you need to change machines?? I mean one 3 ringer for what 1500 mile round trip. Mr Jack Flynn has posted finds, I have posted finds from a CW site I pounded with Deus twice. Keith posted a find-remember the token??

Goodmore, you made some good points. I think besides the big k slip up, there's another lesson for Nokta/Makro. I think they would have been better off just talking about the detector and yes letting the testers have at them, and broadcast performance results, which is what they did. I do however feel they should have never discussed specific price. Maybe instead a price window i.e. say

Right on Doc, I'm in the 99.44% as well. Keith does possess that special persona, non confrontational, and has wisdom too-he won't admit though. That's ok by me.

Some good points D&P and Don. To seriously get in the game they need to pony up and commit like the rest of the big dogs. I think XP did themselves a lot of good going the 5 year route.

Some possible fixes. Go ahead and put the impact detector out there. Not sell it but announce it's coming with a release date. Might consider extending Racer unit warranty to 4 years for original purchaser. Not for the up and coming impact detector. One thing I noticed is the big k impact add I saw don't think it mentioned a propack with multiple coils. Another recommendation . F

I've read NASA Tom's Makro Racer field test post quite a few times. He notes Racer in DI3 obtains a clad dime in Florida soil at sens setting 99 to a depth of 8.4". Now I've looked at a video on you tube where a gent using a FORS CoRe unit over a 10" clad dime gets pretty good tone in DI3 sens 99. I also have a clad dime buried at 9.5" in 4 Fe bar soil. My unit in

I agree Charles. Maybe they should have named it the Boss or even Hoss, or try this one- the Discriminator, or even the "Intimidator. That's my favorite. Has a good ring to it, the "Nokta Intimidator".

I have noticed XP has stayed away from Big K. Has it helped or hurt them, XP that is?? I have opinion but will reserve. Might be construed as "chain rattling" lol.

Hungarian,
You are so welcome. The remote wore inside one's pocket with volume up seems to work pretty good. For the windy days and nosier areas the wired phones will do. Also, I might mention, XP does offer a wired set of phones, not too expensive. I'm bringing this up because the XP version may come with the 90 degree bend connector for a better fit with remote. Cheers.

I for one, am not throwing them under the bus. I've stated I like their detectors and I in fact have one. I do question their marketing tactics though. I mean they are the ones who declared their merge, not anyone on this forum, even me. In doing so seems we may have been taking for granted i.e. Core unit works as Racer, vice versa. And right now more or less this is the case. But in f

And to add, I don't think the capability currently exist. But XP could have provided a way using PC with patch cable connected to headphones. In doing so, one could have built programs with all settings, able to be adjusted without the need for a remote. They may want to consider this in the future.

OK, I played with my unit. To my knowledge the only way to get a reactivity/silencer change using just the headphones with no remote is this. You have to have some programs built into the slots using the remote with the different reactivity/silencer settings. So after this building and saving programs, the headphones with stick and coil will work (stay) in the reactivity/silencer that were bui
