Haven't heard anything about the racer for a while, it just went quite......any beta testers want to give us some "read between the lines" hints how it compares to the FORS CoRe ? ? ? ?

Glad Ron finally got his own too, well deserved!
I'm a bit surprised it doesn't book a little higher, those earlier gold coins can be worth a mind. Was with a friend that dug an 1829 British gold sovereign (their equivocal to a US $5 gold coin), and had it been the US version, it'd been worth a TON.

Never had a problem with the F75 picking up the pinpointer, on or off. The T2 LTD2 doesn't pick it up when it's off, but when it's on, OMG!
What modification did you do the the PP to fix it?

Took my new T2 LTD2/DST out today and decided to hit a spot in the woods near a creek that I always figured was an old camping or picnic area. Found a 1910S wheatie, a small buckle, and a maverick token that just says RE on each side, it's brass about the size of a nickel, which I thought it was when I first got it out of the hole.
I started hunting in 3 tone mode, and it wasn't feel

Looks like you guys have a good spot, nice finds!
Also like the youtube posted commented, I also enjoyed the explanations of these relics. We find similar relics out here at our older sites, but sometimes I'm not 100% sure what they are.

Tom I suspected that might be the answer. I suspect it may be well the other way around.

I guess I just don't see the value in testing a BB. Interesting yes, but what BB sized targets are you after? Small gold, sure, but that's better to test buckshot/small lead targets that more closely mimic gold, but a tiny copper clad steel target doesn't really mimic anything in the real world I'd want to keep. Maybe I'm looking at this all wrong?

I'm going to ask a silly question, what value is there in testing a BB?
I know when I'm detecting old sites, I personally could care less about digging up a BB sized target.

Tom thanks for your feedback. Your experience with DST 9.0 vs 9.1 is what I've observed as well, DST 9.0 is my go to mode. Will be interesting to see what FT does to my F75 on it's current visit there to fix the mama bug and a couple of other items that needed attention.
I'm getting ready for a small three day detecting trip over Presidents Day weekend to hit some old (for Cal

Tom I haven't seen you post much in regards to the new DST F75-2 & T2-2, so I find it interesting you're selling F75-2 "validated" machines (implies you must like it
At any rate, I am curious if you are also testing the T2-2? If so, any thoughts you can share on that machine? Anything the T2-2 is doing better then the F75-2?
My F75-2 is back to First Texas for r

If it's a full moon, it's tolerable, if not, it's blinding. No idea what they were thinking (cost savings?) by decidi

Hunt various places at night. I generally enjoy night hunting, it's quite, surreal, peaceful, and I already have a blinding light....it's the backlight you can't turn off on my F75

Interestingly the Minelab CTX WM 10 Wireless Audio Module uses "Wi-Stream" which turns out to effectively be the same (from what I gather) as Bluetooth.
I don't hear complaints of latency with this setup.

I have been wanting to try another C$. It was my first detector, probably a bit too much for a newbies detector, but it did get me some deep targets, the thing just loves anything round. I actually bought one from a forum member, it was a great deal, great running machine, but didn't have the time to use it so passed it on to a friend that was also wanting to use one again.

canslawhero that's a bummer there's too much delay.
I was going to order Miccus Mini-jack TX. but they don't even list technical specs on latency.

On a side note regarding a group, although the hunt wouldn't been vendor specific, we do spend a LOT of time here talking about First Texas machines.
Perhaps we could get some vendor participation?

I would definitely be in.
Would need to decide interest, and a generous person that could procure a large site, the older, the better (civil war, colonial, etc).

Not out of the question! The treasuredepot has their annual hunts (civil war sites), why not us??

That's awesome, that right there is why we do what we do!!
Beautiful condition too! I've now been our four hunts when gold goins were found, one two US $5, one British coin and one US $20.
BTW never heard of a Vista mini, doesn't look to be much to it.
