I decided to take a detecting trip over Presidents Day weekend to detect a few remote spots that Tom and I are co-finders of that we've spent countless hours researching. Tom was unable to join me, so I invited my friends NightRay and Mrs. NightRay to join up for a weekend of detecting adventures. This was a good chance to put the F75 LTD2 to the test. I set it up with 0 disc, 99 sensitiv

I have both the F75 LTD2 and the T2 LTD2 with the DST upgrade.
I prefer the F75, but only because the boost mode isn't tied into the tones. I can run BP with any tone option on the F75, whereas on the T2 BP is tied into 2-tones. That said, the T2 in 2-tone BP mode is killer in iron and super deep. I picked up a brand new T2 LTD2 in January (the T2 Christmas bundle with three coils) but

Nice finds there tnsharpshooter!
I got my F75 LTD2 back from round 2 at the First Texas repair depot. After sending in my 2009 LTD for the DST upgrade, it came back with the new 2-tones mama bug, and seemed to have a bit of AM depth loss. Disc mode depth was great, and the machine was very stable/quite compared to pre-upgrade.
This time they replaced the motherboard. I've tested t

If you translate the page, it says the Go Find is one level below the Xterra, made to compete with the Garrett ACE, and will be priced in the $150-$300 range.

Having the F75 LTD, now upgraded to a LTD2, I'm not sure I'd 100% agree with that, but I get w

It's amazing how long that last flashing LED bar lasts. The last time this happened to me (just a few weeks ago), it was flashing for a good hour or two, and finally I looked at my screen and it was blank but I still had audio for another five mins or so, and then it died

Seems like about every six months there's a rumor that Fisher is making the next great new machine, and.......wait for it.......we're still on the 9 year old F75 platform...
Been a rumor a new multifreq machine was coming out for years. I don't doubt they're dabbling with one in their lab......but will it ever see the light of day, who knows.

Tom thanks for taking the time to test this machine in the detailed manor you always do, and for telling it like it is, even if sometimes you have to (somewhat) read between the lines
Questions I would have:
How do you feel the auto-tracking works? This is a feature I wish I had on my F75 LTD2 (as well as the adjustable backlight)?
It appeared that initially they were designing it aro

Thanks again for posting this, I'm up to page 71 of to West Coast log books, and I'm finding it to not only be fascinating reading (really ties into a lot of spots that we know about and adds a lot more insight into what was going on), but I think it'll be a great resource to pluck a few more new sites to research and potentially detect.
I only wish the drawings and maps they

I beg to differ, Minelab BBS/FBS machines don't typically airtest worth a darn, yet they tend to be the deepest silver slayers out there.

I'd like to see it compared to the F75 LTD2, 11"DD on both machines and see how it does on deep coins, particularly dimes.
The F75 is plenty deep on quarter and larger sized silver, but falters on deep dimes in dirt that's less then inert.
Should be an apples to apples test as it looks like both machines 11"DD coils are more or less the same, let's see what th

Thanks for posting this.
Most people never think of California when you bring up the Civil War, but there were troops stationed out here during the Civil War, and we try to find the camp sites they used.
Maybe this will help find a few some new ones.
