Way back in the brown shoe army days (lol) when there was no discussion about emi, cause nobody new what emi was. I was hunting with an ole tube type detector. At times I could listen to conversations between the pilot and the tower through my headphones.I reckon that was some form of emi

He used to hunt with a T2. That was his favorite settings. 60 sensitivity, 39 disc. BP mode. He did real good with those settings.

Man has been on this earth a very short time. What metal he left in the ground is very limited in the scope of things. And we as metal detectorist spend our time searching for evidence that he's been here. It's a passion for us, a need to know who he was, the circumstances in which he lived, etc. you know what I'm trying to say, But those metal objects we so desperately search for

Thanks for the replies Jim & Keith. Years ago when I was a young buck ole timers use to say the ground should read good today, it's a full moon. Now that I'm the ole timer I have to agree. Every time there's a full moon hunting relics seems more productive. Not sure about electrical storms. Never paid much attention to that.. But anyway, I swear the atmosphere has as much to d

Great post Jack. Been looking at getting the tornado or something to get a little more depth. This is very helpful. My only issue is I've been told all my life that it ain't the size of the ship, it's the motion of the ocean. :

Got my new g2+ a couple of weeks ago. I've only had time to take it out twice. Both times to one of my well worn spots. It's a spot that me and my buddy have just about given up on. And I think the fellows that sneak in here have given up because I don't see any fresh dug unfilled holes anymore like I was seeing. Can't believe guys still do that. But anyway. These 2 hunts with

You guys are brutal. Whites is trying to offer us a good detector. Sure they've had issues on the release. More than some other folks, less than others. What this video shows is that they are working like the dickens to get the problems solved but seems no matter what they do it ain't good enough or fast enough for some folks. Man!

I agree 100 % Big D. Very well said. But it's wearing me out. I feel at times I spend more time searching for that bigger gun trying get the bear when a well placed .22 would do the trick. Regardles

How many times have you had an awesome day relic or coin hunting with a detector and on the way home, praised it as being the best detector ever. Then, the next time out with that same unit have a terrible day, get home, and start searching the forums and internet for something better

Thanks John,
I'm using it on my T2s. And it does it on both machines. No problems with my other coils. This is my 2nd ultimate, a replacement for my last one that did the same thing. It seems when it gets in moisture after a while it won't ground balance. It's like your trying to balance over a piece of sheet metal. Just strange that I would get two with the same issue

Any of you fellows that use this coil ever have a problem with ground balancing. On several occasions while using this coil I can't get it to ground balance. It always does fine when I first start a hunt but after a while it just want do it. Ground balance stays on 90 which is default on my machine and the ground is clean as a whistle. I had this issue again yesterday. Took the detector back
